@WardogsHQ Itโs the same thing as with Minecraft servers, you need to provider service the people come for. Just putting a server up and saying hey look a server doesnโt guarantee you an audience.
Community servers with, you guessed it, a community, will work.
@Brammflakes btw, when you get the time, would love to read a lessons learned type of post. never having managed a multiplayer game launch but many other software/network launches, would be interesting to learn how things differ.
@Brammflakes Handling this many users is not trivial, you did well <3 Loving to play the game for real now :) You've created something really really nice!
@WARDOGS Thanks for all your hard work, was massive to see this many players on launch! :D Hope you've got the ops automation setup and are able to atleast take sunday off <3
@Brammflakes A proper 338LM sniper please, instead of this silly 50BMG antimateriel rifles is all I ask :) Thank you! (a proper little mildot reticle also thanks)
@Craftlingsgame I didn't find the game enjoyable, it's too much micromanagement for my taste as you have to spend a lot of time thinking how not to have the lemmings fall off a cliff somewhere with your resources.
@mreflow 3/2 My personal take on the whole debacle is they made a model thatโs uncontrollable and wants to escape => good at cybersec
then they brute forced into submission with posttraining causing it to feel very very restricted (like the biology stuff and flat out denials)
@mreflow not worth what it costs in my opinion, i design, develop and work an agentic factory platform and i really cant say it performs any better than gpt-5.5 on medium.
i dont have metrics yet but its more a question of scaffold, if you just raw dog the model in something generic 1/2
@mreflow like claude code, then the results are probably good. But if you have your own scaffold (like my factory) then the benfits pretty much become moot
