@MatthewBerman@MatthewBerman Keeping a human in the loop means forever holding on to this fleshy human bottle neck. Either you want AI that is superior to humans, or you don't. Us in the loop makes no sense with systems that are vastly smarter than us... (I prefer ai that is not superior).
@PeterDiamandis I believe that it is naive to think human nature will change though. Humans are wired to cooporate but also to compete. They are often goverened by base needs & fears. There will be collaboration & there will be division & competition both leveraging this tech to extreeme results
@PeterDiamandis@PeterDiamandis As time goes by, humans will become more and more reliant/dependent on their AI companions to plan/do/achieve goals/tasks. Through this constant interaction they will lose certain basic capabilities and gain new ones. It is this dependency that worries me...
@MatthewBerman@MatthewBerman He knows alignment is a game of wish and a prayer. I hardly believe that it is possible to ensure alignment when dealing with probabilistic systems. It seems that there will always be real incentives to stray away from alignment in the service of achieving goals
@PeterDiamandis@PeterDiamandis If we let pure economics and cold calculations drive important decisions without additional human considerations, and then we entrust Ai to do things better/faster/smarter for us, we might find humanity "managed" for the sake of more paperclips one day...
@PeterDiamandis@PeterDiamandis if we can not ensure AI acts in alignment with human best interests, we risk one of the less favourable outcomes of a super intelligence that never sleeps and is entrenched in every aspect of human life...
@PeterDiamandis@PeterDiamandis Most Americans fear it out of ignorance, yet those who are well informed fear it out of understanding the risks and what's at stake. Fire can warm you or burn you. If you can't control it, you are toast.
@WesRoth@WesRoth or they are pushing this notion out so that they can attribute their future progress to original inhouse work rather than the progress done by western labs... (progress due to distillation isn't exactly something to be proud of).
@elonmusk@elonmusk
If you want to create an ai system that is more likely to be truth seeking and turn out safe rather than rogue one day, you must incorporate a logical base. I think you will find the breakthrough tech of
@TauLogicAI
/
@Tau_Net
inspiring. Do share your thoughts on it.
@PeterDiamandis 1. Soon it will not be humans doing the inventing, it will be mainly autonomous ai systems (hopefully aligned...). 2. the greatest breakthroughs in cooperation, democracy and more are being built by @TauLogicAI / @Tau_Net , they leverage logical based ai to advance many fields.
@bindureddy@bindureddy safety will always be a concern and LLMs will always be risky (limited or not). Open source is not the solution in this case. @TauLogicAI are bringing predictability that is just not possible with current systems. Your thought?
@bindureddy@bindureddy and what is your prediction in regards to the incorporation of logical ai rather than relying solely on probabilistic LLMs? (having @TauLogicAI in mind)
@chamath@chamath you are a forward thinking person and I am surprised you only focus on LLMs. Some things can only be achieved by relying on a logical based system.
@TauLogicAI / @Tau_Net are achieving breakthroughs in this field. I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
@GaryMarcus@jolingkent@GaryMarcus If you want to create an ai system that is more likely to turn out safe rather than rogue one day, you must incorporate a logical base. I think you will find the breakthrough tech of @TauLogicAI / @Tau_Net inspiring. Do share your thoughts on it.
@MatthewBerman@MatthewBerman amazing how LLMs receive so much love and logical based ai is not seeing enough attention! Check @Tau_Net / @TauLogicAI to see how they are advancing this field and breaking new ground.
@tengyuma@tengyuma when you use a logical based ai system to build your code from specifications you get code that works 100% as intended rather than guessing it will. Check @Tau_Net / @TauLogicAI to learn more about it.
@hot_town@hot_town to implement quality provenly correct software that actually does what it is intended to do you need what @TauLogicAI / @Tau_Net are building.
@Dan_Jeffries1@Dan_Jeffries1 how is it that everyone is on the LLM bandwagon yet so few investigate the logical path?@TauLogicAI / @Tau_Net are breaking new ground in logical based ai. Check them out.
