@shelleddiva My biggest problem with this is that it led to me not working out I was gay until I was 40... Because you grow up, get married and have kids, that was the rule in the 80s/90s ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
@spoonfulofhan Ear defenders, communication cards, chewelery, a swing, sensory tools and sensory lights are the most used ones in our household ๐ (but they're 'just toys' -no they're not!)
Dawn Breakers: Loosely based on Sandsend on the #Yorkshire coast, this piece became an experiment of a rosy sky reflection in the delicate sea.

Midsummer morning, and the air is filled with skylarks, the sun painting stripes on the long grasses, and the early warmth of the day chasing away the traces of mist over the hills.
I have to admit that this is a day I always dread a teeny bit, it feels like the pinnacle of the year, as if all the flowers and colours have been leading up to this one day, the solstice, and now we begin the slide down the other side. But then I remember the long, warm, bright days of July and August, the misty mornings of September, the vibrance and musty sweetness of October and November, and it's impossible to feel sad. There's so much beauty still ahead of us and I honestly can't wait for the show.
@Autistic_Lauren The sun being in my eyes, or headlights when driving at night. I can either drive or deal with the brightness, not both! (Yes I have sunglasses, yes I often wear them at night too, they're prescription and it's often a pain switching)
@NoNonsenseND I'm 42 and have spent the last few years working out who I am and how to be me. Sadly, turned out husband only liked fake me, but also not sadly because I deserve someone I can unmask around
@autcareandshare This gives me so much hope, my almost 16 year old doesn't join in with anything ever, much prefers reading or making art on their phone in a corner. I worry sometimes that life is passing them by and they're missing things they would actually enjoy!
I firmly believe that time spent reading books should not be subtracted from your lifespan. You should be able to step aside into Book Time, spend as long there as you like, then resume Ordinary Life Time at the same point you left. Clearly a superior arrangement.
@nursekelsey I have a system where each of my kids helps do a weekly load of laundry of their own clothes (all thrown in together, but just one child at a time!) so they can help do their washing. Sometimes I separate mine into light/dark and sometimes not, depends what I'm washing
@IrkthePurists We had two classes do PE at the same time, so it was easy to have one class Vs the other. They hated us, we didn't care enough to hate them back and just found it funny ๐คฃ
