@staniam50@DeclanKearneySF No. The sos must call a border poll if it appears likely that a majority of people voting in Northern Ireland would vote for a united Ireland. That threshold has not been met.
@keliseyn@shake_shifter@JamesMelville You are joking. Before mass immigration, France, Germany, and England all had homogenous teams and won World Cups. The colour of skin doesn’t make someone a better footballer.
@2Otoole4School@NewstalkFM If you take it on, you have to pay. Did you think it going ti be like the chagos islands and the Brits are going to pay Ireland to take territory?
@WrecklessGamer Algae turned the render on my house pink. It looked terrible. Sprayed it on, it took about two weeks before it back to new and it lasted a couple of years before any sign of discolouring again.
@ooobenblief@andrew_lilico You misunderstood. Saying colonialists were bad. Conquering was a completely normal way of expanding territory throughout human history
@PansBeach@90sInspiredUK@think__32 The money was made available but it was not up to the UKG to force through a stadium in a location that didn’t work, nor to indulge the GAA with their fantasy stadium and pay hundreds of millions for it. Gaelic is only a provincial sport with only two well-attended games a year.
@PansBeach@90sInspiredUK@think__32 Why do you think the uk government is responsible for fully funding a private organisations stadium build to the tune of £200m when the owner on want to contribute 7.5% of the cost.
@90sInspiredUK@PansBeach@think__32 It’s strange they would treat Gaels differently on each side of the border. I didn’t think the gaa would have been partitionist.
@rory_donaghy@mkbl1965@peanutsgran@sinnfeinireland Does Ulster gaa need a 40k+ stadium? Where is a better location.? Something more central to accommodate everyone from Ulster? I know I feel for the kids who compete at Ulster level at athletics, who have to travel hours to compete at Mary Peters.
