Introducing Claude Sonnet 4.5—the best coding model in the world.
It's the strongest model for building complex agents. It's the best model at using computers. And it shows substantial gains on tests of reasoning and math.
@PhillipsPOBrien Part of the reason is that the Greens are wary, and with considerable degree of both guilt and apprehension, regarding Germany's deep economic symbioses with authoritarian states. They now have a particularly acute sense of responsibility.

@briangongol@PhillipsPOBrien@c_lindner's FDP took a populist-libertarian tack that bought them votes short-term (young men), but set them adrift ideologically and ethically.
Telling example via former UA Amb. @MelnykAndrij:

@MarkHertling@sumlenny FYI for those not familiar with the German media landscape:
The @bild is in general a bad source of journalism. Roughly equivalent to the @DailyMail.
Some find @bild useful for tracking German popular/populist interest, but actual content warrants a big grain of salt.
@yaffaesque not an expert, but in general you can find industrial divers that routinely go to that sort of depth and deeper (think oil rigs), and there's plenty of vessels passing by the area day and night. i'm sure it'd be super involved, but why would it have to be a nation state?
@cvaria@adam_tooze He did not explain or predict why russia would start a doomed invasion that is so starkly against its own self-interests, when others, like Fiona Hill or @TimothyDSnyder, were able to do that. Such are the limits of “Mearsheimerism.”
@cvaria@adam_tooze Mearsheimer was wrong about many things this war has pivoted on. His narratives of great power politics are too mechanistic to capture the human element: he can’t account for putin’s irrationality and russian incompetence, nor for Ukrainian courage and western popular backing.
