All my tweets, really, are for my children. That they may know my mind while I was here and alive. The rest of you, who mostly never respond anyway, can kiss my ass. But, you should still strive to ASK BETTER QUESTIONS.
I'm done with Democratic leadership - it’s time for a big change.
In 2016, Democratic leaders told us to be the "bigger party," to win by "going high" when they "go low."
We lost that election, giving Trump and MAGA a legitimacy we’re paying for now.
When Justice Scalia passed away and Barack Obama nominated Merrick Garland, Republicans stalled that nomination until after the election and effectively stole it, while Democrats let it happen with barely a whimper or a fight.
We lost that nomination, and women’s rights have been altered for a generation.
After 2020, Democrats appointed a quiet, fair-minded "boy scout" as Attorney General, who slow-walked legitimate Trump investigations to avoid criticism of partisanship.
All of those very legitimate charges are now dead.
During this election, Democrats never tied Trump to the horrific things he's done, failing to define just how "not normal" his candidacy is. Instead, they ceded the "lawfare" narrative to Republicans, and have allowed Americans to believe that inflation - triggered in 2020 before Biden took office - was somehow the Democrats' fault.
We’ve just lost this election, and the damage that will be done to the government, the courts, and our economy will take decades to unwind, whenever it is that Democrats regain power.
Democrats don’t lose elections because Democratic policies are ineffective; we deliver results, and the record is clear.
Democrats lose elections because for decades they have brought water noodles to political gunfights.
I am tired of Republicans taking power and screwing everything up, and then Democrats taking over and fixing their mess - every fucking time - only to go soft, lose the messaging war, and lose power again.
We do not deserve this as Democrats. We do the work. We show up when called upon. And we get let down every time.
They’ve failed us for the last time. The old guard has to go.
Just a quick note here in advance of Trump and Musk crashing the economy in 2025: Trump voters are going to blame Democrats for that too.
Read up on fascism and cults and stop assuming we have a rational electorate that’s actually looking at economic indicators. It simply isn’t.
I am not going to respond to a bunch of shit I am reading...but Good God...I would love to tell so many of these fuckers to go fuck themselves in hell.
Nah...what if half the country is racist, sexist, transphobic, etc? Why is that half of the population never asked to reconsider their views? The lesson is that 4 decades of attacking education has had an enormous effect, and that the U.S. is on par with the politics of Hungary.
I voted for her. I think he’s a bad guy.
But if you lose the senate, house, electoral college AND popular vote, and you think the lesson is half the country is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and stupid… wrong lesson. And the same thing will likely happen in 2028.
Never understimate a huckster selling fear of the other.
An astounding number of people voted for hate today. And what is sad is that they, ultimately, will suffer for it.
He was the worst President in history. And when he got voted out, he tried to stage a coup. Then he stole national secrets and sold the ones he didn't store in the bathroom.
He was convicted of fraud, found liable of sexual assault and convicted of 34 felonies. He is half a billion dollars in debt, owned by God only knows who, and the biggest national security risk the nation has ever had.
But at least he's not a Black woman.
The jackboot Daddy issues are so strong with these guys. He comes home and he's pissed, and what...he takes off his belt and says come with me? Fuck off. There is no economic, or moral, argument for these buffoons.
@johncusack Your voice matters in the seven states that matter. We agree that it isn't what we would consider optimal, but, please, man, don't sit on the fence here.
OMG -- Trump questions why the Civil War wasn't settled before it started, saying "Lincoln was probably a great president although I've always said, why wasn't that settled?"
Trump on Fox & Friends on Harris: "I don't think she knows where she is. She's a low IQ person. She's not smart ... I am the most stable human being. Remember they said a stable genius? ... we had four years of greatness."
🧵I’ve read through the evidence section—the first 85 pages—of Jack Smith filing on Trump’s private criminal efforts to stay in power despite knowing that he’d lost the election.
The evidence is stunning. It’s clear why Trump did not want the public to see this testimony.
13 things jumped out to me on Trump’s attempt to defraud the American people and steal the 2020 election.
listen up, stupids:
John McCain lost his election and fucked off back to Congress.
Mitt Romney lost his election and fucked off back to Congress.
Hillary Clinton lost her election and fucked off and went home.
Al Gore challenged the results in ONE STATE, and when he lost, he fucked off and went home.
Donald Trump lost his election and freaked the fuck out and sent a mob of armed morons to the Capitol to disrupt the certification, and he also headed up a ginormous criminal conspiracy to commit election fraud in Georgia, all so he could cling to power — because he's a big fucking baby who can't deal with being the huge fucking loser that he is. and that's why your guy is in deep fucking shit right now
