$18.15 an hour isn’t low enough for them. The new DOL rule wants to drop H-2A foreign labor in Wisconsin down to $13.29 for entry level, then deduct $1.29 an hour for housing …bringing their cash wage to just $12 an hour. This makes imported labor even cheaper, undercuts American workers, and hurts family farms. Wisconsin DOJ is fighting it in court with UFW. Enough is enough.

If it's conventional corn and soybeans, usually the weed seed bank isn't too bad and you can drill grasses in. Some areas can take almost a year of site prep and they'll use glyphosate to burn down. Happens a fair amount in CRP ground here.
