I live in an exurb of Boston, and many people here happily take either Amtrak or the MBTA train into the city every day. I feel we should publicize the good and try to expand it, rather than complan about the bad.

Interesting, over the past few days I have been followed by about 80 brand new Japanese accounts (bots?), apparently because I liked one picture posted by a Japanese artist. I wish anything I've tweeted had gotten me that much attention, lol

@WIRED This is true even of virtual fireworks. I create fireworks and fireworks shows in virtual worlds, and spectators there love them. But a video of them - despite being the exact same pixels and audio waveforms - just isn't the same as being there at a live event.

TFW you take the time to write a great cover letter for a specific position and the (non-technical?) recruiter doesn't even read it.

In this case - a job slightly different than what I've done before - the letter is crucial. I can only hope they will give it to the employer.
