Isn’t it cute that the lefts always assume that if they raise tax rates, tax revenues will go up? What did they study for God’s sake? Anthropology and philosophy?
Socialists are a strange species, they always make the same mistake and are surprised that the result is always the same. They naively assume that higher tax rates mean higher tax revenues.
Why don’t you introduce a wealth tax next and watch even more entrepreneurs leaving?
Why don’t socialists understand this straightforward concept and always land in the red area with their populist taxation approach?
Isn’t it common sense that successful people either lose motivation to work hard, or simply emigrate, when they are taxed too much?
Focus on effort, not outcomes.
As Marcus Aurelius said, it’s insane to tie your wellbeing to things outside of your control. If you did your best, if you gave it your all, if you acted with your best judgment—that is a win…regardless of whether it’s a good or bad outcome.
