@vikasreddy I got Dunkin coffee in NYC once. The cashier asked me how many creams and sugars I wanted. I said "none, just black please" and everyone behind the counter turned and looked at me like I was an alien. The cashier hesitantly handed me the coffee. The coffee was really bad.
@vikasreddy Remember when the city council and a bunch of staff took a long trip to Portland to study their ADU policy and then took several years to craft a really restrictive one?
@natosaichek@dweekly They'll waive at least half of those disqualifiers if they need to. They waived all sorts of stuff during the height of the Iraq/Afghanistan years.
@galenward@JohnLovell60 Induction stoves convert AC to DC and then back to AC. Incoming AC power is 60 Hz and the stove operates in the kHz range.
There are advantages to both AC and DC, but recent semiconductor advances have made DC power transmission more practical.
@vikasreddy Microsoft is still using Yammer internally. My main interaction with it is when the host executive all-hands meetings on the platform. Every so often I check out the "US Political Lounge" and it is an absolute tire fire of election deniers and so forth.
