@CamGuthrie 40 km/hr seems like a good compromise, as you’re more likely to get driver buy in. I also like keeping the 30 km/hr limit solely for school zones, to remind drivers this is a spot to really pay attention.

@CamGuthrie Think a 30 km/hr blanket approach to all residential streets is problematic. Road design and layout dictates a driver’s speed more than anything else. 30 on a narrow older street would be fine, but likely feel artificially low on newer wider streets with good visibility.

@CamGuthrie Worry about a blanket approach to ALL residential streets. While a reduction would be fantastic on many, could feel artificially low on some, creating speed variances and/or new problems (like original speed limit in school zone on Imperial Rd that had to be raised).
