Some news! At the end of December, I stepped down from my full-time position @Element84 and yesterday was my last day. In January I expanded my role as fixed term faculty @MediaInfoMSU and will be teaching and designing courses in their UX Masters program.

It's been a wild 4 months--but I wanted to take a beat and appreciate everything that @Element84 has done for my career and family. I don't think I'll ever work on more meaningful projects with such amazing people. The last decade will be overrepresented in the highlight reel 😀

I'll also be co-leading the Rome Study Abroad for @MSUAdPR with @allieo and spending a little time away from computers this summer. In the fall, I'll be back teaching and working on some research, writing, and design projects that have been back-burnered for way too long.

@tomcritchlow That's why you see lots of 101s--they are more scalable and require less input from the instructor/creator.

Why spend 100 hours teaching 15, when you can spend 10 hours teaching 150.

@tomcritchlow I feel like a lot of these courses (say 400-800 level online) are offered via colleges and universities. The problem with "online courses" is that small, interactive cohorts with high-touch instructors are either really $$ or not profitable for creator/instructor.
