Thrilled to see (1) how much progress we’re making in pediatric RECOVER, learning how COVID changed a whole generation & (2) that this #PAS2023 panel is all amazing women in science. Thanks to my @archildrens RECOVER hub team for all their work on this! @nih_nhlbi
@uamshealth played a key role in leading this groundbreaking study with @ECHOChildHealth and @NIHendaddiction New approach for newborns in opioid withdrawal gets them out of the hospital faster and with less medication | CNN - congrats team https://t.co/5dd4a6d9Hd
In this randomized trial, infants who were treated with the Eat, Sleep, Console model for neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome had a significantly shorter hospital stay than those in the usual-care group. Full results of the ESC-NOW trial: https://t.co/13j7a5DhZd

@NIHendaddiction @ECHOChildHealth Clarification: Not "only real" - any answer can be real to the population we study, but we're most impactful when we're most inclusive
The answers we find in research are only "real" answers when they apply to a broad group of people - kudos to this @NIHendaddiction team and to our ISPCTN teams @ECHOChildHealth for diversifying clinical research, especially for kids!
I'm putting together a talk on COVID myths and came across this article referencing @MichaelWorobey https://t.co/fBkr1yBQEW - which reminds to thank him for a stellar talk @StJudeResearch and @PIDSociety - I love what we can learn from what came before!
Excited to be part of this study that highlights how important it is for us to understand the impact of COVID on kids - kids aren't just little adults and it is critical that we include them in research efforts! @ECHOChildHealth@archildrens@uamshealth
Working with @archildrens to lead a 14-state team to answer #NIHRecover questions - there is no question this will change this generation of kids and we must learn how so we can mitigate the damage.
Addressing #LongCOVID is critical. An update from the #NIHRecover co-chairs details what we’ve learned and what comes next in helping patients with this complex condition in the latest #NIH Director’s Blog: https://t.co/OAxF95k59f
