Totally agree. In 2009 real estate was clobbered but we were also in a deep recession and the stock market had dropped 50%. People were scared and very few normal people were flush. Today the economy is strong and stock market is at ATH. Everyone I know is flush and ready to invest in “good deals”.
Live in San Diego and pulled the trigger on a Rivian in Nov. Love driving it in town. Have taken it on 3 ski trips. 1 to steamboat and 2 to mammoth. The extra charging time really added up on the drive to SB and wore down wife and daughters. With a good charging strategy mammoth probably only 30 minutes longer.
@ZubyMusic I’m 47 but I still remember stop, drop and roll from elementary school. You take your jacket off and use it to get the person to the ground immediately.
@GeorgeStoia Love it. Was not a fan of the hurry up and run a mediocre play offense. Let’s huddle up, call our best play, and execute. Mix in some tempo when you sense the defense is gassed or on their heels.
@TooMuchMortons_ Completely agree. Not only does it help with payroll economics but you also have a core of young guys who have come up through the ranks together who become the heart and soul of the team. When the going gets tough that matters in baseball.
@Stealx@mhprvpmvp Yep. Google “Rancho Santa Fe PPP fraud”. The wealthiest HOA in San Diego County recently settled with the DOJ over a fraudulent PPP application. I believe the whistleblower was awarded +/- $250k.
@Gautier01J@TooMuchMortons_ This isn’t being talked about enough. If you had told me before the year that they would both OPS mid 700’s I would have told you the Padres would be lucky to be .500 and here we are.
