Meet Audato and Ieda Denardi, a couple who were sentenced to 50 DAYS in prison in Brazil for HOMESCHOOLING their own child.
Judge Junior da Luz Miranda convicted the parents for “intellectual neglect” because they didn't teach their kids about "gender and s*x education" or “tolerance and diversity.”
WTF is going on in Brazil?!
Make this POS activist judge famous!
🇧🇷 A Brazilian judge just sentenced two parents to prison for homeschooling their daughters.
Their crime, according to the court: "intellectual neglect" and not teaching state-approved "gender and sex education."
The girls are 15 and 11. They speak multiple languages and are both accomplished pianists.
An independent psychologist found zero signs of neglect. The prosecutor recommended acquittal.
The judge convicted them anyway. 50 days behind bars.
It's the first time in Brazilian history parents have been criminally prosecuted for homeschooling.
The mother's response: "I cannot conceive a more dictatorial state than the one that wants me in jail because I chose to exercise my right to direct the education and upbringing of my daughters."
Their case is now headed to appeal.

🇧🇷 Brazilian parents Adauto and Ieda Denardi were sentenced to 50 days in prison for “intellectual neglect” after homeschooling their 11- and 15-year-old daughters without state-approved programs on gender, sexuality, diversity, and tolerance.
The ruling ignored an independent psychologist’s report, extensive academic records, and even the prosecutors’ recommendation for acquittal.
The daughters were documented reading 30 books a year and studying Latin, English, piano, and music theory.
The judge cited the girls’ lack of exposure to mainstream music genres like funk, trap, and sertanejo as evidence of cultural isolation.
It is the first criminal conviction for homeschooling in Brazil, where the practice exists in a legal gray area.
Players can abstain from wearing Pride hats all they want. The issue is desecrating the Pride hat and making a night about LGBTQ fans about yourself. Why haven’t any of these Giants players posted bible verses to oppose genocide, mass deportation or a litany of other atrocities?
The @SFGiants have a long history of supporting our large & vibrant LGBTQ community, even when it hasn’t always been popular. It’s one of the many reasons I’m proud of the team.
That storied history makes it even more troubling that the Giants are now accepting ads from Chick-fil-A — a virulently homophobic business — & disturbing that some players used last night’s Giants Pride Night as an opportunity to display a bible verse about rainbows that is frequently used by right wing Christians to “take back” the rainbow from LGBTQ people.
Last night wasn’t just Pride Night. It was also the 10th anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub massacre, when 49 people were mass murdered.
To be clear, these players could have cited the rainbow bible verse on any of the other 364 days of the year. Instead, they chose to cite it only on Pride Night & only in connection with the rainbow Giants logo celebrating our LGBTQ community. There’s only one explanation for that choice — a choice the Giants tolerated.
It’s hard to envision the Giants tolerating this kind of behavior directed at any other community. The Giants can & must do better.
Just to add to @JudiciaryGOP about SPLC being totally discredited:
Today, *I* was added to the SPLC's "hate list."
They called me an "anti-LGBTQ+" "Suit & Tie Extremist."
Compared me to "neo-Nazis."
Why?
Because I testified last year on religious persecution in Nigeria.
Seriously.
I spoke to @HouseAppropsGOP & @HouseForeignGOP about our cases that "have involved Christians unjustly imprisoned by Sharia courts, false allegations of crimes merely for evangelism or protecting Christian converts or operating charities, Christians kidnapped and tortured, girls taken from their parents and forced into marriages and forcefully converted to Islam, and both Christians and minority Muslims charged with blasphemy accusations."
I talked about visiting targeted villages in Nigeria whose pastors had literally been beheaded.
I sat next to the Chair of @USCIRF and a Nigerian expert from Council on Foreign Relations.
But SPLC are such smear merchants, that they want to tag me and my testimony on literal mass atrocities as somehow the views of an "anti-LGBTQ+ extremist."
The images are what SPLC claims about me, and what I actually spoke about. Here's the receipts.
The SPLC can't do basic research. They are utterly discredited. Don't trust anything they say.

A new Gallup poll finds that fewer Americans consider birth control, having a child outside of marriage, and gambling to be morally acceptable — continuing a trend that the author describes as a "puritanical streak." I'd push back on that framing. What this data may actually reflect is something more encouraging: a trend toward more sound moral reasoning, particularly among younger generations.
