@aliner Choice of form, topic, and tradition can affirm the self and the voice, can empower and potentiate a sense of authenticity (if the word means anything, and means anything to you in particular). As Frost said, we write out of a cloud of voices. Good thing, too. We are so lucky.
What a fun evening! On June 3, Poetry-delphia turned out to welcome Poetry for Dummies, 2d edition. We packed Fergie's Pub (a hearty thanks), wondrous poets read wondrously, and I got to lick the fur of my new foal and nose it forth to trot into the world. Even sold a few books!!
@aliner@iycrtylph@mimeticmagic This movie is a true sleeper … daffy, utterly mystical yet earthy, quite happymaking … with young (7? 9?) Petula Clark in a cameo (she went on to be a huge pop singer of the sixties and seventies). Those guys were great filmmakers.
