@_thisisthegirl_@ScottAdamsSays Interestingly, this aspect of Black cultura was handed to Black people by, you guessed it, white people. Read the book, Black Rednecks, by conservative author, Thomas Sowell.
@NewDayGalaxies@SarahIronside6 The rule that we suffer because we are sinners is a rule God made up. It's his rule. He can change it if he wanted to. But he doesn't.
@NewDayGalaxies@SarahIronside6 The root cause of suffering is God. God made us capable of suffering. God created death. God decided to make us suffer for missing the mark.
@NewDayGalaxies@SarahIronside6 Think about it. Who do think created the system whereby missing the mark leads to suffering? Who do you think conceive of suffering in the first place?
@NewDayGalaxies@SarahIronside6 Look at all the innocent suffering in the world. Given that God is all powerful, it's rather obvious that God has missed the mark.
@GunterSylvanis2 @SarahIronside6 The passages in which God condones slavery, rape, and orders the killing of innocent children and animals are particularly uplifting.
@SarahIronside6@graphicool Why are you surprised that Christians aren't so nice given that the Christian God is an asshole?
Think about it:
We humans suffer and die because our ancestors ate from the wrong apple tree. And that was by God's own design.
@xphilosopher Serious question: you are aware that identifying with any side automatically biases you, right? Yale psychologists have shown this. I would think you cared about objectivity.
@DennySalt@hithenth @MaxTutelage @ChrisMears00@nytimes It applies to a single time frame because the percentage comparison is to a population, and populations change over time. If Biden selects a Black woman to the Court, Black people will be overrepresented on the Court bc they are 14% of population but would be 22% of the Court.
@fuckthechiefs10 @nytimes Ya’ll need to chill. It’s just the inverse of underrepresented. If a particular group makes up a higher or lower percentage of participants in any domain relative to their population percentage, they are said to be under or over represented.
