@Anhalt Last year mine went from $34 to $39 (I do vaguely remember seeing that email, now that I think of it). I don’t know why yours would have gone up so quickly.
@Anhalt Oh wow, that’s crazy. I’ll have to check mine...it’s on auto pay and I may have missed an email about it. Mine was $25 when I started and was $35 last I checked, but that was a while ago.
Roiling emotions of paternal death at 10, carrying loss, finding him everywhere, always running. Panic at turning 40, living to be older than he ever was, keeping in motion. Finding stillness and steady footing thousands of miles from that first lost home. #pitmad#mem#nf#a
@Anhalt Not nearly as bad, but I was recently crossing Armitage in a crosswalk and a van stopped to let me go. I waved, but as he passed the guy yelled “You’re welcome!” Like...apparently he needed more effusive praise for following the law. A hand-written thank-you note, perhaps?
A new study confirms what Chicago food truck owners already knew: the city is one of the most difficult places in the U.S. to operate a food truck. https://t.co/K9EwRAxSv0
These two women noticed black people in the food and beverage industry weren't being covered by the media--so they started their own publication to do it. https://t.co/5HFwcH3TqU
@CullenWay@Chicago_Reader@KalakVodka@momose_julia Both those articles ran over a year ago, but if a reason to write about her again came up next week, I'd be thrilled. She's talented, articulate, and professional, and I think there's a reason she's getting national recognition.
@CullenWay@Chicago_Reader@KalakVodka@momose_julia Thanks, but I meet and write about other Chicago bartenders regularly. I've written about Momose once because she was using a spirit I was interested in, and once because she was nominated by another bartender for the Reader's Cocktail Challenge series.
Always love @Chicago_Reader. Even with less, their writers actually take the time to understand complexity. Imagine what they'd do with more https://t.co/3mBtSFmxn6
