BREAKING: President Biden scores a massive win for hard-working Americans by announcing a historic investment of $16 billion into the Amtrak rail line in the Northeast Corridor — the nation's busiest.

They don't call him "Amtrak Joe" for nothing...

Biden announced the massive project during an event in Delaware. The funding will be infused into two dozen projects along the line that connects such cities as Washington, New York, and Boston.

"I know how much it matters," Biden said, talking about how badly the system needs updates and repairs.

"How can you be a leading country in the world and have a second-rate infrastructure?" he went on. "It’s not possible."

The much-needed investment project will address aging bridges and tunnels among other concerns. It will include funding from the wildly successful Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

It aims to "upgrade aging infrastructure on the nation’s most heavily traveled rail corridor to increase train speeds, reduce passenger delays, and create good-paying union jobs."

While Republicans are ranting about trans children and drowning in Trump indictments, Democrats are passing measures that actually improve lives.
