I kept checking the same Steam pages and still missed what changed.
So I built a timeline for follower/review growth, player shifts and recurring review themes.
Collecting data is easy. Filtering the noise isn't.

@deepmaker_us I'd set up the app in Steamworks now, but wait to make the Coming Soon page public until you have a few honest in-game screenshots of the core loop. No need for a polished demo; concept art and placeholder shots won't tell players what they're wishlisting.
@XYROVideoGame Yep, that's what I meant. Seeing 'Pick up VSR' change with the gun you're aiming at makes the target clear. I'd just test two drops almost on top of each other—does the prompt stay stable when you move the camera a little?
Steam's 50 most-followed games tagged Bullet Hell: 48 carry hybrid genre tags. The top mixes RPGs, platformers and roguelites; classic shmups sit lower. Two audiences under one tag.

@a_apanasik The gap between 269 UTM-attributed wishlists and ~800 net adds is the most useful part of your write-up. A lot of postmortems quietly treat those as the same number. And those huge Telegram channels bringing ~200 extra adds is a good reminder that reach isn't the same as intent.
@CreativeHandOf Love the little raccoon frame. At gameplay size I can't tell what the two coin slots mean yet—wallet vs. collected this run? A different icon or a small x/y count might make that clear without breaking the art.
@renderready Congrats on 2k! Was it a steady climb, or did a couple of posts do most of the work? My wishlist graph has been mostly flat lines and sudden jumps.
@studioplayer3 The tutorial prompt switching is a nice fix. Have you tested with a controller left plugged in while using mouse and keyboard? Tiny stick drift can make button icons flip back and forth.
Already in October’s Steam Next Fest? The final two weeks aren’t for new content. Fix the first five minutes, tighten the store page, test the stream, and track what caused each spike.

A traffic spike means nothing by itself. I want to know where it came from, whether those visits became wishlists, and whether the baseline stayed higher after the spike faded.
Steam gives you the result. The hard part is connecting it to the decision that caused it.
@Asbar_official The border animation helps a lot—the menu no longer feels like the game has paused completely. Is the color tied to rarity, or just the currently highlighted choice?
@renderready That kind of stream is basically a playtest with commentary. The pauses, wrong guesses, and things they try before saying anything are often more useful than the feedback afterward. Finding a streamer who actually wants to help improve the game is gold.
@PabloMalmerida The way the pink pulse travels down the tower makes the ruins feel like they’re being activated, not just struck by lightning. It sells the idea that a place is about to be pulled out of someone’s memory.
Steam told me wishlists spiked. My own tracker helped explain why.
On Sep 20, visits jumped to 1,119 and clicks to 1,066, with a 40.9% CTR—the same window as the wishlist peak.
One graph shows the result. The other shows the path.

@ShadowPulseGame The way it disappears into the overgrown wall works really well. You can read the opening when it moves, but once it's shut the vines make it feel like it was never there.
@Peanut_Panda_ That first merchant/carrier rating screen reads cleanly. I had to pause on the rival merchants graph, though — the legend and all the lines are a lot to take in at trailer speed.
