In Donkey Kong 64, if a Kong dies during a cutscene, gameplay will not resume when the cutscene ends. Instead, the camera will simply show the dead Kong's corpse and linger on it indefinitely.

The idea that every experience anyone has using the game software a company sold you is somehow a part of their "platform" that they have unlimited, perpetual policing power over is incredibly dangerous, deeply harmful, and needs to be fought tooth-and-nail.
