Haití no existía.
1777 Aranjuez:
Se traza la PRIMERA frontera oficial. Dos colonias: francesa (oeste) y española (este). Legal.
1795 Basilea:

Hey @kaiexplainsx , I'm big fan your work and the rigor you put into it. Heads-up: a Spanish channel translated your entire script word-for-word (anecdotes, math, benchmarks) with zero credit. Nobody should profit off your hard work without your consent: https://t.co/h7NVhWlBD4

A 360-meter-tall wind measurement tower has been completed and put into operation at an 800,000-kW experimental wind farm in Mulei County, northwest China, making it the world's tallest wind measurement tower in the wind power industry.
It marked a new step forward in the country's capabilities in high-altitude wind observation and wind power technology validation.

When AP says the US should thank China
The world has China's "energy strategy to thank" for avoiding a "much worse" oil price shock. So wrote the Associated Press (AP) in a report on Saturday, saying that "we've been free-riding off Beijing in a weird way" and that the US should "thank" China. The lengthy report focused on the turmoil in global oil markets triggered by concerns over shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. It argued that China's forward-looking energy planning has enabled the country to withstand the pressure while easing global demand, thereby softening the upward price effects for the US, Europe and other regions.
At a time when much of the Western media is busy reviving the "China shock" narrative, this may be one of the more clear-eyed assessments of China to come from a mainstream US media outlet in quite some time.

At DATA Night, AI experiences a five-senses revolution
Sight, hearing, smell, touch, and motor skills—these are the cornerstones of human perception. As AI technology evolves, it, too, is building its own expanding set of digital "senses." At the 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo held in Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province, Andrew Smith from the U.S. gives you an up-close look at these emerging sensory technologies and shows how AI is forging a more direct connection with the physical world, sense by sense.
Inside the DATA Night exhibition hall, smart glasses give AI richer visual interactions. Acoustic algorithms allow machines to decode sounds such as thunder and earthquakes. Olfactory modules can enable robots detect gas leaks and food spoilage. Tactile sensors and data gloves allow AI to gauge force, direction, and motion. Finally, embodied intelligence drives robots toward ever-greater precision in movement and operation.
AI is moving beyond mere data processing: from seeing, hearing, smelling, and touching to autonomous movement, it is gradually learning to perceive—and truly understand—our physical world.
A new benchmark for robot agility and speed! This Chinese robot can soar 2 meters into the air from a standing start and hit a top speed of 12.66 m/s, showcasing remarkable explosive power and athletic performance.
