If a coach is telling you to sport specialize they do not have your best interests in mind. You will never convince me otherwise…There is a ton of development that comes with being a multiple sport athlete that translates to the other sports you do!
You can't be a great instructor of "movement" if athletes are not putting in the time. Just because you know what the science is and can spew some great lines, doesn't mean the athlete is absorbing and learning more than just putting in the reps with music in the background.
This is an article that I never wanted to write. We have lost Mike Lange. He has passed away at age 76. RIP to a true legend. Here’s the article: https://t.co/4h6mc60AtA

2. Losing and What to do Next

You are correct @BenjaminSWatson Our society is broken and it won’t be fixed by any political party winning the election. It won’t be fixed by any legislation being passed. It will only be fixed if we turn back to God and follow His principles.
Emotions are contagious.
Research shows that a coaches emotions gets transferred onto the player.
If a coach is losing his mind in anger, a player is more likely to be frustrated, make more errors, and have a negative disposition.
Athletes: What's in your control in the coming weeks?
• Sleep
• Hydratation
• Visualizing the race(s)
• Being the "right level" of excitement for the race
What's not in your control?
• The weather
Focus on what you can control, not what you can't.
Let's go!
Rather than focusing on your race time, focus on passing the person in front of you and helping your team score.
Be a teammate that lowers your team's score.
...and when you keep passing people in front of you, the chance that you'll like your finish time goes up 😀
Let's go!
