Ofc. Nicholas Reyna was transported to Fort Worth this morning. He was escorted through Lubbock County by Lubbock Police officers and numerous members of our first responder family, while our Lubbock community paid their respects.
Today our hearts mourn for the losses and critical injuries experienced by our Lubbock First Responder Family.
27-year-old Officer Nicholas Reyna served with the Lubbock Police Department for one year. Following the academy, he served on patrol during the day shift.
@NSPTrooperHorak Great work! Let it be known to the @USAO_NE that you’re doing your job taking drunks off the streets now they have to make sure he stays off them for a long time.
@BillWaybourn please come to our help. Children are being killed by #drunkdrivers all over Texas, there has to be harder punishments. Please talk to Lubbock County DA Sunshine Stanek so #alexandermay can receive “full force of the law”. @Chief_FMitchell @MADDOnline @GovAbbott
Making the arrest means nothing until the punishment comes. These people will continue to get behind the wheel until they are actually punished for their CRIME.
