Talk to a friend about how your boss treats you at work. The feelings you have aren’t shameful. Bullies at work are.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Support your colleagues at work. Recognize and stand up against bullying #justiceforevan#MentalHealth#WorkersDay https://t.co/fnXnw9oLtM
Intense workplace bullying occurs when individuals engage in persistent harassment, often fabricating falsehoods about a colleague to rationalize their abusive behavior. This toxic environment not only undermines the targeted employee's well-being but also fosters a culture
May is Mental Health Awareness Month—and a reminder that strength isn’t just about carrying the load alone.
Your mental health matters. Talking about it doesn’t make you weak. It makes you wise, strong, and human.

The CEOs of both Kroger and Albertsons have stepped down. They led a failed merger that wasted billions instead of investing in workers and stores. The workers who defeated their monopoly merger are bargaining contracts this year — and we're ready to win!

🔎Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen Resigns Following Investigation into Personal Conduct🔎
Kroger, the largest grocery chain in the United States, announced on Monday that Chairman and CEO Rodney McMullen has stepped down from his role following an internal investigation into his personal conduct. The investigation, which concluded that McMullen’s behavior violated the company’s business ethics policy, was described as unrelated to Kroger’s business operations, financial performance, or any company associates.
McMullen, 64, has been a fixture at Kroger for over four decades. He joined the company in 1978 as a part time stock clerk and bagger at a Lexington, Kentucky store. Rising through the ranks, he served as chief financial officer starting in 1995 and chief operating officer in 2009, before being appointed CEO in 2014 and chairman in 2015. His resignation marks the end of a long and storied career with the retail giant.
The Kroger board was first alerted to the situation on February 21, 2025, and promptly engaged an independent counsel to investigate. The inquiry was overseen by a special committee of the board. In the wake of McMullen’s departure, Ronald Sargent, a board member since 2006 and lead director since 2017, has been named chairman and interim CEO, effective immediately. Sargent brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as chairman and CEO of Staples, in addition to holding various positions at Kroger in stores, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and strategy.
Kroger emphasized that the investigation’s findings do not impact the company’s financial reporting or day to day operations. The Cincinnati based retailer has initiated a search for a permanent CEO, with Sargent committed to leading the company in the interim until a successor is appointed.
The news of McMullen’s resignation sent ripples through the market, with Kroger’s shares dropping approximately 1.3% in pre market trading on Monday. As the company navigates this leadership transition, all eyes will be on how it maintains stability and momentum in a competitive grocery landscape.
