@susie_dent A while later, Kenneth’s friend announced that he was going on holiday. “Are you flying?” asked Kenneth. “Yes,” his friend replied, archly, “we’re leaving from the aero-drommy.” 2/2
@susie_dent I once heard Kenneth Williams tell a story about his correcting a friend on the pronunciation of ‘syndrome’. Kenneth insisted it ended like ‘epitome’, i.e. with an ‘ommy’ sound. 1/2
@ENO8Jeff@donwinslow Honest question: when you see heavily armed thugs trying to separate children from their parents, how much of a ghoul do you need to be to pretend this somehow conforms to the rules of polite debate?
Hey @gofundme you have received several complaints that this fundraiser wants money for illegal activities, but you haven’t responded. Can you please take action!
You know when anti-migrant loons say they want to stop the boats so we can take care of ‘our own people’? Well here’s how they feel when workers stand up for themselves. Don’t imagine for one minute that cranks like Rupert Lowe really want you to be comfortable and secure.
@DalrympleWill@EmpirePodUK My wife and I love this film. Even today, when one of us runs an errand that will separate us for a few minutes, one of us is liable to exclaim: “I will find you!” It amuses us, anyway.
@jackinthecentre@MichaelRosenYes Yes, words do have meaning. Taking a lot of people from a large area and forcing them into a smaller area = concentration. Policing the borders of this area with fences and armed guards = camp. Concentration + camp = whaddya think?
These cranks really believe that spraying a bit of paint on a couple of war planes is terrorism. I don’t imagine they’re quite as agitated about tank crews spraying starving civilians with machine gun bullets.

@David_warren198 @BobBobs64 @richardpbacon Lots of infrared energy from sunlight is reflected back into space. CO2 and other greenhouse gases absorb this energy and retransmit it as heat. This causes the lower atmosphere and planet surface to become warmer. This is taught to children in schools. It is basic physics.
The last time Quakers were persecuted was under Charles II and the Clarendon code….the Met really know how to live up to a bad precedent…. https://t.co/ul945SBmfv
