Something of this kind is what we should have seen when the top section of the towers collapsed onto the lower one. The upper and lower sections should have mutually destroyed each other until all the energy is dissipated and the system comes to rest. What could not have happened is this:
a little tiny chunk of the building can't possibly fall and crush the entire structure below it.
This is such a simple, fundamental concept that architects and engineers were astonished in seeing it totally ignored by NIST.
This is high school physics, and our whole society is being led to believe that these fundamental laws of physics, hard science, don't apply anymore.

in america you get completely unsecured aggregate loads that are allowed to put non-legally-binding signs that say the rocks aren’t their fault for fucking up your car
By the end of this year, most of our food will be recalled.
No worries tho - a third of the country will continue celebrating the meaningless renaming of lakes and crying about nonexistent trans athletes in the WNBA.
Americans get to murder infinity people around the world and they have to accept it. You cannot be upset, you cannot respond.
But if an American is ever harmed their pain is sacrosanct. They get to murder millions. It is actually wrong to even judge their murder spree.
We need to pass policy that makes it illegal with meaningful consequences for any elected official, their staff and gov employees to lie to the public like this. This never happened and it legally can’t ever happen. Only parents/guardians can supply medical consent
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 American wages have fallen to 43% of national income, the lowest since the Great Depression.
For every $1 the US economy produces, workers are getting less of it than at any point since 1929.
The rest is going to corporate profits, which are now at an all time high.
This is why the economy keeps growing but most Americans feel poorer. GDP goes up, wages go up in dollar terms, but workers are getting a smaller and smaller slice of what they actually produce.
Asset prices keep rising for the same reason.
Money that used to go to wages is now going to shareholders instead, and shareholders put it into stocks, real estate and other assets.
THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A MAN IN THE WNBA AND NO MAN IS SERIOUSLY TRYING TO PLAY IN THE LEAGUE. YOU GUYS ARE INCENSED ABOUT A MADE UP PROBLEM IN A LEAGUE YOU DONT CARE ABOUT! LEAVE IT ALONE!!!
The broad “middle class” we all grew up hearing about was really just a 30-year post WWII fluke and not the historical economic norm. Today, the economy is reverting back to a clean split of asset owners and wage earners. When it comes to annual income under $100k is the baseline struggle and poverty, $100-250k is lower middle class, and it takes $250-500k to afford what used to be a normal “middle class” standard including lifestyle access, savings, emergency, and investment portfolio building as a single income household with 2.5 kids with higher education. Upper middle class is $500k-1m, rich is north of $1m annual income, and wealthy is above $10m annual income. Because asset prices and capital gains run laps around standard paychecks even the “high earners” in the middle and upper middle class get taxed heavily while the real wealth compounds at the top unscathed. The illusion of the great middle class and American dream is basically gone it’s just reverting back to haves and have nots like it’s always been per the classic economic system gov policy and tax code. Beyond the numbers your number one priority is moving from the earned wage class to the asset ownership class by any means necessary
If you ask pro-capitalist people why a job like, say, sanitation work has such an abysmal wage even though the job is necessary, they’ll tell you that it is an unskilled occupation. We could contest that, but for the sake of argument, let’s concede. By this logic, value is derived from how much labor is required to accomplish something—in this case, the labor of learning the skill in addition to the labor of completing the task at hand. A doctor, then, would earn a much higher wage because of the labor required to obtain the necessary degrees to practice. Okay. But then, if you ask a pro-capitalist people again why the price of a pair of glasses, a mattress, or even a bottle of water is so expensive, despite these things being cheap and easy to make, they’ll tell you that value is not determined by the labor that goes into producing something, but by need and demand. This inconsistency reveals how neoliberal economics functions: the value of something means whatever is most convenient for the ruling class.
every post about our nation's health is "Yeah the 'Fuck You, Shit Yourself and Die' virus has killed 10 people now. The Trump Admin cut funding for it last year."
