Things I wish someone told me (dev edition):

- Forget about using 1 framework that combines platforms like web and mobile at the same time — this will hold web down (Expo and other similar frameworks)

- Stop that raw Node.js Express backend BS, move to Nest and get that test coverage up

- Next.js wins the web — there is nothing better

- MongoDB is better than your little mind can comprehend

- K8s is actually dead simple, and is not that deep — stop being scared of owning your infra

- Monorepos are extremely powerful, but painful if you rely on too much abstraction — keep it simple (bye bye Nx plugins and similar stuff)

- Migrating from a framework to another is never too late if the benefits are obvious — and is always a good idea, but you'll cry a few times during

- If you’re building a SaaS, UX is not optional — great infra means nothing if your user is confused

- Cloud credits are not infinite — build with your future costs in mind

- Don’t outsource your edge — if it’s core to your product, own the code
