Uganda has just concluded its fifth general election cycle since returning to multiparty politics in 2005. By June 2026, 118 election petitions had already been filed before the High Court, 107 concerning parliamentary seats and 11 regarding local government.

These figures set the stage for the 4th National Youth Symposium, taking place on 23–24 September at the Parliament of Uganda.
