Seems like a good time to remind everyone that when my predecessor passed in March 2025, @GregAbbott_TX set our election for *8 months later* and left our majority-minority, strongly Democratic district without representation for 334 days.

We’ll see if Governor Abbott keeps the same energy when a Republican-held seat becomes vacant.

None of these subjects need to be studied. The UBE is now the MBE with the addition of Business Associations.

These now-deceased subjects can (and likely will) show up on the MPT, but, as always, that’s a test of applying the law, not recalling the law.

Not a bad time to take the test for those who are licensed in only one jurisdiction but want transferability. It’s a short window; this “UBE Lite” goes away when the test is retired in 2028.
