Happy Book Birthday @kaitlincurtice!! I’m just beginning to feast upon these beautiful words, but already I am nourished.
From page 14- “Identity does not come to us without journey, because to learn who we are means we…

I laughed out loud today at the @UpFirst ad for a cruise company followed immediately by an update about the Grand Princess and the 3000 people waiting to get off and moved to military bases to wait out their quarantines. 🏆🏆🏆
@KeelyBoeving@HollyStallcup We had to separate by age 2 or it was a hot mess. One in the pnp in my bedroom, one in their crib in theirs. At 3 we switched to floor beds and I sat between them until they conked out. Sending you all the twinmom solidarity!
@poppyrach@nytimes I subscribed to their coronavirus newsletter and it seems like it contains less info and more teasers for their articles every day. So frustrating.
It's driving me crazy that @nytimes articles are the first to pop up whenever I search for #COVID19 updates and they're all hidden behind that damn paywall.
Know what's coming at us fast and free? Trump's alarmingly misinformed "hunches".
Fix this please.
It was April 15, 2009, and I was watching The Daily Show (then hosted by Jon Stewart) along with everyone else who needed a dose of sanity in the early days of the Obama White House and GOP reactionary panic. His guest that night was a little-known Harvard Law professor. (thread)
@alexegesis I have so much respect for that. I remember @jeffchu writing last year about similar experiences as he completed seminary. I hope you find a community that understands what a gift they have in your voice!
@alexegesis I admire your courage and relentless hope in the face of so much tradition and pain. Thank you for sharing your story and more of the behind the scenes, I hope to find a faith home like those you describe one day. Busting down those old walls is holy work. Keep at it!
@alexegesis This is all so beautiful and I want it to be true. I have panic attacks whenever I'm in a church building, but I'm finding God beyond the walls.
How do you overcome fear of abuse of power/institutional preservation of authority in traditional church structure? Esp as clergy?
5 y/o: Today on the Internet I learned about a very old, very famous African American woman in history. Her name was Beyoncé and she was amazing.

I have been offered this venting apology three times today alone, so let me say it loud and clear:
WE DO NOT NEED TO APOLOGIZE FOR TRUSTING ONE ANOTHER WITH OUR STORIES.
Vulnerability is a radical, patriarchy smashing, world-changing act. Vent away!
This is your official invitation to stop apologizing for "venting". If venting relieves even a tiny bit of your emotional load then it is not only brilliant mental health care, it's also incredibly brave AND invites reciprocal vulnerability which is SO NEEDED.
