A thread on how to recognize and avoid AI #gameassets! Using these game assets is not allowed when releasing a game on Steam, but might also lead to other legal issues as it's hard to determine who owns the rights. How to recognize them; 🧵
What's coming up:
✨ A new update for Avatar Mixer adding loads of new customization options
✨ MakeRoom is getting a demo on Steam
✨ A pirate expansion for Monochrome RPG
✨ Mini Arcade and Mini Market 3D assets
I've been working on MakeRoom and added a toggle for switchting between perspective/orthographic mode when taking a picture! ✨
Demo soon! Wishlist: https://t.co/iumkGCty9b
Only a couple of hours later and I've got the basics done, barely 60 lines of code using just a CharacterBody3D. Will need some more work but this will be a very good starting point for arcade-like racing games! #gamedev@GodotEngine
Updated! At some point there'll be too many to list I'm sure, but isn't it great to have so many solid choices? My goal is to keep making sure my #gameassets work with all these engines! 🙌
I just can't with this game engine, take it away from me. There's local gravity in Area3D. You can set it to any vector in inspector. No code. And it's a built-in feature... like what
Switching from Unity to Godot and moving around with right mouse button feels a little rigid and clunky? That's because freelook inertia is disabled by default! You can go to Editor Settings -> Editors -> 3D -> Freelook and turn it on to make it feel more like Unity!
Don't forget that just like in Unity you can use your scroll wheel to adjust the movement speed! ✨
A preview of an upcoming #pixelart game asset pack, a collaboration between me and @fienescreations who's doing an internship at my studio.
The final package will also include interiors, characters, animations and it'll be available for $0 (public domain)!
I've been working a bit with shader graph the past few days. I love how it lowers the barrier to entry for shader development, though would it would be great if we could see what code it produces in the background #screenshotsaturday#indiegame#indie#gamedev#madewithunity
@ElectricEgghead The people over at unity forums are very active and friendly, though recently I have shifted over to discord channels for instant help. Locally, unity has a sizable presence which helps alot when networking.
