Excited to share our preprint on tumor-nerve interactions in pancreatic cancer.
Perineural invasion (PNI), a process in which cancer cells invade nerves, is linked to worse outcomes in patients. We define a novel axis by which cancer-nerve crosstalk drives PNI.
Shape and function are linked at every length scale in biology, from protein structure to tissue architecture and whole organisms 🧬->🦜🦦🦌
We are excited to share work on cellular shape (ie. morphology) and their functional correlates in patient derived PDAC cell lines
Delighted to share this tour de force led by @GongDennis; we developed Spatial Morphology and RNA Transcript (SMART) analysis integrating cell morpho-transcriptomic information to identify new phenotypic underpinnings of treatment resistance in #PancreaticCancer. Congrats Dennis!
Excited to see this out in Cancer Cell!
Much has already been written about technical developments in the spatial world but less attention has been spent thinking about how patients eventually benefit in the diagnostic setting 📰
I’m delighted to share our lab’s latest study now published @NatureGenet👉 https://t.co/9qBGLavC3w. Led by the fantastic duo @CarinaShiau#JingyiCao, and a big collaborative effort with @m_hemberg@davetingmgh @nanostringtech and others. 🧵
