A good listing of tricks for ML research. Probably combining any two of these could get you a paper at a conference. Please don't do that blindly. Slide by @FrnkNlsn.
Nice background on convex duality; particularly useful for anyone interested in digging deeper into our algorithm for optimal cone singularities: https://t.co/lv4AO1P1cH
Phenomenal success! Our joint team with @cyberFEL CTU-CRAS finished on the 3rd place in @DARPA#SubTChallenge. Moreover, we are the 1st among teams with research not funded by DARPA and 1st non-american team. Thank you everyone for the amazing support! @CVUTFEL@CVUTPraha
Updated: Distributed Systems Theory for the Distributed Systems Engineer. Thanks to everyone who suggested new and missing content over the past 24 hours!

Hey twitter: what are your favourite resources for learning more about *designing* large scale distributed systems? I'm trying to build a reading list for someone and coming up short.
I'll start: "On designing and deploying internet-scale services" https://t.co/lRJXQGH7FW
Discovering (paradoxically late in life) that I get more out of textbooks than books and that I don’t have to stop buying them just because I’m out of school. Good reading list pointers: https://t.co/ZDaqr3YQbW
I completely missed this project from 2014. They are able to recover audio from silent videos by looking at high frequency vibrations of objects in the scene!
From 2014, no GANs, no deep learning:
