@bensenescu Even Chat GPT say that. Don't start with catalog submission, lot of backlink to fresh website - give you nothing.
Start with Tiktok videos promoting your product, it could really help
Idea is good, but in most cases for agencies does not make any sense. If your app subscription cost is ~$50-$100, you give 25%. It's far from anything could be interested to them. Another question for "must have" apps that they use anyway, and then it's more about partnership, priority support, bugfixes, etc.
Just made PriceCannon live 🚀
The idea is simple.
Paste a product link and PriceCannon checks @Shopify Global Catalog and tries to find the product for a lower price.
Still very early, but it already finds some good deals.

#shopify vs #amazon
@AlexHooper78640 There always strategy less for less. And people try to use it to get a bigger market share. Still they still try to offer “best support”, “best quality “. It’s never work like this. And more interesting, some Shopify merchant don’t understand this.
We just dropped a "Free" plan from our @salest_io. It was with us for more than 2 years and usually gets hobbyists instead of real merchants.
What gives us the Free plan? Well, hard to say. Mostly a few negative reviews, additional support loading, and additional hosting costs. But it still gives us a high install rate (and then a high uninstall rate :) )
Will see in a few weeks how our App Store position changes.
Last week was working with Shopify Global Catalog MCP. It's look really nice and interesting project. But I really miss searching by GTIN. And as you can see, prices are very different between shops
@DsMatie After you published this feature, I checked merchants that give us 1/2/3 star review at @salest_io
No surprise - they also leave similar review for competitors :) and other apps. AVG ratings is look interesting really
@KatieKeithBarn2@Mail_Gun@postmarkapp Maybe look at CampaignMonitor?
We use it only for marketing emails (including onboarding flow). For transactional we use just a plain Amazon SNS
@TaylorSicard Still external channels (Amazon especially), require a lot of patience and work. Also competition here is much higher. So it not easy to protect own brand identity selling also on Marketplaces. And that’s why some big brand reject that channel
@jzazove I would say I have a big question to review that you deleted for @salest_io. For example, you dropped 3 recent reviews from REAL merchants. That continues using our app. I sent this to support and am waiting for a response. But it's really annoying ...
@ctrlaltdylan@faridmovsumov We found one more important use case for HeyMantle. Using it we always can check user and answer the main question. Are user already leave us review?
Adding here also analytics and then you can do request using claude + mcp: get users that we can ask for review
@TimRokeby@faridmovsumov The pricing is crazy here. Even if you pay ~50$/month, you will ended give them extra 30% referral fee (in addition to the referral you will pay for the actual affiliate
@Jonezell_@Shopify I would love to see @heymantle style dashboard inside Shopify partners dashboard, as well as users CRM. Considering that heymantle is shutdown that would help
@patrickbo11e@heymantle For events amplitude is perfect solution. But for automation of emails we use campaigns monitor (old service - and cost almost as heymantle), but work like a charm
@DsMatie For us it’s mostly affect review candidates (active past days, have events, paid or free plan) and of course Dashboard and affiliate system.
It’s very sad.
