@DuaneBratt @TheBreakdownAB Incorrect. Publicly funded- privately operated. Charters don’t accept all students, they pick and choose, cap their class sizes, are not accountable to public school boards. They exist in order to circumvent the rules the rest of us in the public system have to play by.

You don't need to spend the $0.15 on the bag & you will be using what you already have. The bylaw isn't getting rid of bags just reducing the # that get used. You're arguing for the bylaw.

@JCtheglazier @jonnywakefield The bylaw allows for items like fries or any loose item that needs to be served in a disposable container to be served as such. So you can go to a bakery and buy a doughnut and it can be handed to you in a bag.

The restaurants are only supposed to provide disposable cutlery (plastic, compostable, etc) when the customer asks for it. Bulk type items like fries that must be in a container are still allowed to be in a container.

@JunePCanada @jonnywakefield It's not a plastics ban. Fast food places are supposed to only give you disposable cutlery and napkins when asked for them. No longer adding putting napkins and cutlery to every order.

Cups require facilities for washing & sanitizing. Tricky to use in public spaces or if your living situation doesn't have easy access to private bath.
