Holy smokes! LGD Lawn and Landscapes of New Orleans just installed a chipping and putting green in my backyard. Synlawn is the same synthetic turf that Tiger Woods uses in his TGL golf tour. Get yours. So friggin cool. Taking my short game to another level
The women in New Orleans are fantastic. I’ve posted this type of comment before. Just held the door open for some woman and she said “thank you baby”. I always get that. “Baby”. “Honey”. “Sugar”. “Darlin’” “Sweetie”. Just a beautiful thing. Wonderful women in this great city
The City Of New Orleans needs to cut ties with Troy Henry and Bayou Phoenix and their planned redevelopment of the Six Flags site. It’s been five years. No financing in place. No contract signed. Not a piling in the ground. And with Avondale/Westwego building a sports complex, it makes Bayou Phoenix, even more non-viable. No sports complex means no waterpark means no hotels means no Bayou Phoenix. Coupled with Michoud and the moon and Mars missions, SpaceX down the intercoastal waterway, and the Port Of New Orleans’s international terminal in Violet, the city needs to end this charade immediately. Bad idea from the get go
The statement from Troy Henry and Bayou Phoenix
The Bayou Phoenix team is in significant pursuit of the necessary financing for the project. Based on financing proposals already shared with the City officials, we are very optimistic about the prospects of this project moving forward in the near future. Any negative de-stabilizing comments can only serve to undermine the underwriting process for prospective financing partners. I would strongly advise City officials to refrain from making non-supportive public comments at this time. This Bayou Phoenix project will be transformative for the region and East New Orleans. And, just like other major municipal projects (NSA, Lindy Boggs, Plaza Tower, Lincoln Beach, Louisiana International Terminal, etc.) these matters take time. New Orleans East residents want a positive asset for the community that uplifts property values, improves the quality of life, and spurs economic development. That is what we are endeavoring to build with Bayou Phoenix. And, contrary to what has been said publicly, unlike other priority projects in the City, the Bayou Phoenix project has not received a dime of public support or assistance. Despite multiple requests, thus far our team has been the sole investor in this initiative.
This is crazy. Claiborne Avenue is six lanes. Leonidas is two lanes. There are probably 10 times more cars on Claiborne than Leonidas yet the Leonidas light stays green longer than Claiborne. Doesn’t make any sense. Fix this City Of New Orleans. Claiborne should be about :40. Leonidas maybe :10-:15 tops!
@tonytwobets@FixNOLA So true. When the governor flies on “Get Gordon” private jet to South America to go hunting or to Texas to go hunting, it’s hard for him to be fair and objective about tort reform. No doubt. Sad reality.
Louisiana has the highest car insurance rates in America. The highest! The reason is simple. These egregious, overt, obnoxious injury attorneys and their proliferation of advertising on radio, TV and billboards encourages people to sue. Makes people think they need a lawyer to make an insurance claim.
In Louisiana, we have the same amount of wrecks with the same amount of damage and the same amount of injuries to people as everywhere in the United States, but we have literally twice the claims. Our lawmakers need to put a choke chain on these Advertising injury attorneys
The site isn’t the problem—the missed opportunity is. A professional search could attract capable companies to a location hundreds of thousands of vehicles pass every day. #EconomicDevelopment#NewOrleans
Looks like the city might be re-bidding the Six Flags site. Bayou Phoenix and Troy Henry have done absolutely NOTHING in five years. It's about time to re-bid and market it nationally. #NewOrleans#UrbanPlanning
Sounds like a home game for the Brewers in Tampa. Or St Pete. Looks like about one out of four fans at Tropicana field are Milwaukee fans. Kinda crazy.
@Brewers win the Series. Congrats. Small markets can win. Even in crazy big market spending @MLB

The Husky on Freret is amazingly good. I’ve had the filet a handful of times. Just the small little 5 ounce filet. Fantastic. Tonight I had the New York strip. Really flavorful and tender. They know what they’re doing.
