🧬 Scientists Made Pancreatic Cancer Disappear — But There’s a Catch
What if one of the hardest cancers to treat could actually be pushed into permanent remission?
In a new study, researchers developed a combination treatment that completely eliminated pancreatic tumors in mice. Even more surprising, the tumors did not develop the usual resistance that often makes cancer treatment stop working.
The treatment attacks the cancer through three different biological pathways at once, making it much harder for tumor cells to escape.
But here is the important part: the results were achieved in mice, not human patients. Researchers say the treatment is not yet ready for clinical trials.
Another 2026 study found that a different three-part immunotherapy approach could also clear pancreatic tumors and create lasting immune memory in several mouse models.
So, is pancreatic cancer cured?
Not yet.
But scientists are discovering new ways to make this aggressive cancer vulnerable—and that could eventually change how it is treated.

🚨 A SIMPLE NASAL SPRAY COULD CHANGE STROKE TREATMENT FOREVER
Scientists have created a powerful nasal spray that may reduce brain damage from strokes by up to 80%.
Instead of invasive procedures, the spray sends protective compounds directly to the brain through the nose within minutes. Early studies show it may protect brain cells, reduce inflammation, and improve recovery chances after a stroke.
Experts believe this breakthrough could one day allow stroke treatment to begin in ambulances or even before reaching the hospital.

Retatrutide, an investigational triple hormone receptor agonist that shows promise for weight loss in ongoing phase-3 clinical trials, is being sold openly across the internet and prescribed by licensed physicians online and in diverse clinical settings across the US, investigations have found.
The phenomenon of such easy access to a drug that's not approved anywhere for any indication is arguably without precedent. Patients are discovering the drug — a GLP-1, glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide, and glucagon agonist — through social media, purchasing it from vendors online, and arriving at clinic appointments either asking about it or disclosing they are already using it.
News reports state that everyone from “shadowy online vendors” to physicians and nurses is illegally promoting the drug before it receives the FDA approval. Tap the link to read the full story. https://t.co/BIWkD6wGRv
With more patients using GLP-1 weight-loss medications, physicians are increasingly seeing patients who discontinued therapy because of cost, limited pharmacy availability, intolerable adverse effects, or loss of insurance coverage.
After patients discontinue medication, weight regain is common, and that may affect their mental health, confidence, and willingness to return for follow-up care.
Because the duration of GLP-1 therapy is often uncertain, physicians should begin discussions early so patients understand that long-term nutrition, activity, and behavioral strategies remain central to obesity management. Patients may need counseling about adequate protein intake, the need for resistance training to preserve lean mass, and higher-fiber diets to support satiety and cardiometabolic health. https://t.co/G07lf4JOc2

🧬 The Egg That Never Came From a Chicken
What if your next “egg” never came from a chicken?
Scientists are now making real egg proteins using **precision fermentation**—engineered microbes produce egg proteins inside fermentation tanks, without hens. Companies such as Onego Bio and The Every Company are already using this technology in food products.
The FDA has reviewed the safety information for these proteins, and some are already appearing in baked goods and packaged foods.
With bird flu pushing egg prices higher, could lab-made egg protein become part of the future of food? The answer may be closer than we think.
