A cutting reflection from Cardinal Ratzinger, Good Friday 2005:
"Pilate is not utterly evil. He knows that the condemned man is innocent, and he looks for a way to free him. But his heart is divided. And in the end he lets his own position, his own self-interest, prevail over what is right.
Nor are the men who are shouting and demanding the death of Jesus utterly evil. Many of them, on the day of Pentecost, will feel "cut to the heart," when Peter will say to them: "Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God... you crucified and killed by the hands of those outside the law."
But at that moment they are caught up in the crowd. They are shouting because everyone else is shouting, and they are shouting the same thing that everyone else is shouting. And in this way, justice is trampled underfoot by weakness, cowardice and fear of the diktat of the ruling mindset. The quiet voice of conscience is drowned out by the cries of the crowd.
Evil draws its power from indecision and concern for what other people think."
@MagicallyViral@TansuYegen They don’t just throw the kid in! 😂. They work up to it slowly! This is probably his/her final test of weeks (maybe months) of practicing. Please don’t just throw your kid in & expect them to be able to do this! 🤦♀️ Check out Infant Swimming Resource. They have a whole program.

Schumer: "What they're trying to do here is the same thing that was done in the South for decades, to prevent people of color from voting."
Woman responds: "This is where my righteous anger pops up, because I know what he's saying is a lie. I live in the South. I've been living in the South my whole life, on the Gulf Coast. I go to vote every single time there's an election, and guess what? I show my ID. I write my signature. They check to make sure who I am. I go vote. No problems.
Nobody asking me any questions. Nobody making me count the jelly beans in the jar.
And quit lumping us in 'people of color' category. We're Black Americans, and we are citizens, and nobody is taking away our right to vote.
What they are doing is they are using Black people, going back in the past, provoking emotional manipulation, because they know if they say Jim Crow or slavery, Black people gonna be like, 'Oh my God, he's right, they coming against us.' This has nothing to do with you, Black people. Wake up!'
People of color' he talking about is illegal migrants. They don't have IDs. That's their new voting base.
But [stop] letting these people use you. I've been having an ID since I was 15 years old. I'm 50 years old. Every Black person I know has an ID.
You need an ID to drive. You need an ID to go into a club. You need an ID to fly on a plane. You need an ID to go into another country. You need an ID to buy liquor. You need an ID to buy cigarettes.
I don't know any Black person without an ID. Even the poorest of the poor Black people have an ID. Even the homeless man got an ID.
Black people, y'all can keep letting these liberals play in your face, but Malcolm X warned you about these people. They're using you. This is about getting illegal migrants to vote. They don't have an ID, so they don't want any questions whenever they walk there. They are the Democratic Party's new voting base."
When I wrote my resolutions between 2019 & 2023, I was trying to give the @AmerAcadPeds a pathway out of the mess they had wandered into.
They could do a formal review of the evidence and then say "Oh wow, we need to pull back on our previous advocacy for simplistic affirmation."
@Outremer_Author@TheRobertBshow And people allow kids to grieve a death of a parent. When they divorce, the kids have to deal with the fallout even more than the parents themselves (2 homes, possibly 2 new families formed with step parents, etc). And they are expected to be fine with it/get over it.
🚨NEW: @elonmusk🐼
"What I discovered is it's extremely difficult even to cut very obvious waste and fraud from the government — because the government has to operate on who's complaining."
"If you cut off payments to fraudsters, they immediately come up with the most sympathetic sounding reasons to continue the payment. They don't say, 'Please keep the fraud going.' They’re like, 'You're killing baby pandas!'
"Meanwhile, there's no baby pandas who are dying. They're just making it up. The fraudsters are capable of coming up with extremely compelling, heart-wrenching stories that are false — but nonetheless sound sympathetic. That's what happened."
@DailyCaller
@JustAdaugoijele Yes! My husband and I attended mass in Germany when we were visiting. We didn’t understand the language but I could the words of the mass in my head because I know parts of it so well. It was beautiful.
“Behold the Lamb of God.”
One of my favourite things about the Catholic church is that no matter what country I'm in, there's a space where I'm welcomed, and I know the service by heart. The Mass may sound different but feels exactly the same.
That's how I know that I am home.
2010. President Obama shoots down the whole "stop deportations and just let the illegal immigrants be" argument that the Democrat party is currently pushing.
As I pointed out in 2021. Now the evidence continues to mount. If you do not follow the @EthicalSkeptic you absolutely should. He is a brilliant mind, critical thinker and truth teller.
🚨 NEW: Fmr. CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield Now Says the COVID Jab Should Not Have Been Called a Vaccine
“It was never meant to prevent transmission … It probably was a misnomer to call it a vaccine. It's really more like a medicine. It doesn't stop infection.”
@1991Spartan@SteveAustinWI I was thinking the same thing. An elderly woman praying outside a clinic, offering help to women and their babies so they don’t feel like abortion is their only option (because some women do feel that way), is somehow worse than what these people are doing? I just can’t….
Today, they call mass deportations "unconstitutional" and "inhumane." But for decades, they championed the exact same policies..
➝ Hillary (2008): "If they've committed a crime, deport them. No questions asked, they're gone."
➝ Obama (2014): "If you're a criminal, you'll be deported... sent back."
➝ Bill Clinton (1995): Standing ovation for "speeding up deportation" and "securing our borders."
It wasn't "racism" back then. It was just the law 🇺🇸
But now they can't win anymore. The crazy policies, indoctrination, fraud, censorship, gaslighting, and lawfare... people are just done with the crap
So the only way they can win is to flood the country with illegal immigration, block voter ID laws, and create permanently deep blue states
