Federal Government has completed 10 radiodiagnostic centres and three cancer centres across Nigeria, marking a major expansion of healthcare infrastructure and modern medical services under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The 10 radiodiagnostic centres, delivered through MedSafe and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), are equipped to improve access to modern diagnostic services while supporting quality healthcare, medical training and research. The Bauchi centre at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital is among the facilities completed, with another in Ibadan, Oyo State, scheduled for commissioning.
Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, described the development as the largest expansion of health infrastructure and equipment in Nigeria’s history, while also announcing that three cancer centres have been completed as part of the broader healthcare transformation programme.
The Federal Government is also preparing to establish six major multi-specialty hospitals, with one planned for each of Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. Together, these investments are expanding access to specialised medical services and strengthening the country’s capacity for diagnosis, treatment, training and research.
The progress reflects a broader push to modernise Nigeria’s health system through upgraded infrastructure, advanced medical equipment and stronger collaboration between the Federal Government and state governments.
Nigeria is pregnant with Prosperity and we will get there — Obafemi George
This man is one of the best political analysts in the country today. Just listen to him with an open mind.
"President Tinubu is the first president who understands the architecture of the society... who restored local government autonomy, introduced fiscal federalism to decentralize prosperity, and created development zones across the geopolitical regions to drive local-led growth."
— Analyst Obafemi George
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will complete his 8 years, and heaven will not fall.
The North completed its 8 years without anyone calling for Buhari’s head because he was one of us.
It’s now the turn of the South to complete its 8 years and then hand over to the North.
Northern leaders and elders sat down and made this agreement at the time, which produced Buhari.
We cannot decide to switch places just because our feelings are hurt.
We gave our word, therefore, we must keep it.

Two years ago, much of Nigeria’s gas potential remained untapped. Today, investments are translating that potential into infrastructure for transportation, industry and households.
The Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF) has catalysed ₦1.6 trillion in investment across 31 projects and 205 infrastructure assets. Nine CNG stations are already operational in Lagos, Abuja, Owerri and Ile-Ife, with about 50 additional projects expected before the end of 2026.
MDGIF continues to support investments that expand Nigeria’s gas infrastructure and strengthen domestic gas utilisation.

Fake Professor Anthony Kila, the pro-chancellor of Michael and Cecilia Ibru University (MCIU), has long presented himself publicly as a professor and a “Jean Monnet Professor of Strategy and Development”, but PREMIUM TIMES has found that he was never awarded the academic rank.
This PREMIUM TIMES investigation has now found that no recognised academic institution has ever awarded Mr Kila a professorial title.
The European Centre for Advanced and Professional Studies (ECAPS) awarded him the professorship. But this newspaper found that the institution is non-existent, present only in Mr Kila’s profile.

Security was a major focus as Mallam Alwan Hassan (@yesmylo) spoke with PAP’s Umar Dandago about the Tinubu administration and his argument for President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT) to continue in office.
He referenced new surveillance aircraft and ATAK helicopters, the recruitment of 28,000 military personnel and 70,000 police officers, improved military salaries and Forest Guards to secure vulnerable forests and unguarded areas.
He also pointed to the push for state police as another step towards strengthening community-level security.

This is great news for Christians in Nigeria!
The arrest of Mahmoud Adam, a radical Islamic Fulani terrorist leader responsible for the killings of countless Christians, is proof that the US-Nigeria Security Cooperation agreement is bearing fruit.
The Nigerian government deserves credit for making this arrest, and it’s clear that Congress and the Trump admin’s efforts to defend Christians are making a positive difference. We must keep pushing to defend our brothers and sisters in Christ!
