@NottFoundation the last 5 days spent with David and the faculty were some of the most precious moments in my career as a surgeon . I met some amazing people and hopefully made some life long friends . I can’t wait to bring the wealth of knowledge to the practical field !
The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.
The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.
Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.
If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.
Warmest congratulations to Prof Michael Kerin on his election as President of the @RCSI_Irl.

We look forward to Professor Kerin's rewarding and impactful tenure as he begins his Presidency.

"Whoever is in your life,
those who harm you,
those who help you;
those whom you know
and those whom you do not know —
let them off the hook,
help them off the hook."

Watching back over videos made through the years to show the work of our Foundation, we are struck by their timeless nature.
This short film is an example of this - filmed in Ramallah and London in 2022 - the friendship between our Co-Founder Elly Nott, and our lead faculty surgeon in Palestine, Dr Mariam Aweidah, was at that time an emblem of our values.
And it still stands to be.

Rib fractures are never “just rib fractures.”
This landmark TSACO study used the National Trauma Data Bank to show just how often rib fractures signal severe injury, ICU admission, prolonged ventilation, and worse outcomes, especially in polytrauma and elderly patients.
A paper that helped reshape how trauma teams think about chest wall injury.
For TSACO’s 10-year anniversary, hear from Austin Lubkemann, MD PGY-3 at University of Arizona General Surgery Residency. @UofAZSurgeryRes

In a study involving 180 blood bags, use of a double-knot closure rather than the usual single knot prevented bacterial contamination. This strategy may reduce the risk of blood-product contamination in resource-limited settings. Full study results: https://t.co/HIvnLXDNJY
