"If only one of our leaders would fast like Gandhi - perhaps his fast would do some good. There is no need to abstain from food - in Palestine a leader would die without food. Let him abstain from selling land and keep a plot in which to lay his bones."
@RodericDay and that it also teaches them that the whole societal order is against them and in defense of employers as a class. and that the difference between Russia and the other euro countries was the "barbarous" outlaw of strikes, confiscation of strike funds, and arrests of workers
@RodericDay i think i'm conflating a few different lines but the closest and most relevant is from On Strikes which says that strikes spreading between industries (and the development of inter-branch strike funds) teaches workers that its not just their employer but the class of employers
@RodericDay i remember but can't think of the text Lenin saying something like those workers that have been employed by many different capitalists see the rules rather than exceptions
@LocalPizzaDeliv@chimeraxmachina even then around 400 of the settlers were active soldiers, Al Qassam attacked military bases, these bases had civilian housing on them + the music festival right next door with mainly reservists attending
@LocalPizzaDeliv@chimeraxmachina we know that the IDF fired on a house with 14 hostages, do we expect an equal or greater number of combatants in there too? is that more likely than a few? meaning our example scenario put 14 settlers against 3 or 4 warriors, either extrapolation puts most deaths on the IDF
@butlerzd3n@probablykaffe mind you this denaturalization process only existed for 2 years between 1950-1952, when the King was in power, and after 1952 the policy went back to jews aren't allowed to leave if they move to israel
