@northernassist shout out to the conductor on the train 10.35 Hathersage to Manchester Piccadilly. We were travelling with 22 Guides and he was a star, making sure we all got on the train together, and could keep an eye on the girls.
@GirlguidingCEO @Girlguiding So sad that we won't be able to camp here any more. We have had some amazing camps here with girls having some fantastic adventures that they wouldn't otherwise have.
This weeks #MemoryMonday, Katherine shares her memories of using Glenbrook to provide outdoor space for her Guides to have adventures:
"My memories of Glenbrook are many and very varied.

@Girlguiding@Ciara_ODoherty Glenbrook is an asset to Girlguiding, and much more accessible to those of us north of the Watford Gap than London... and is so booked up we had the choice of 2 dates only for our camp this year
The real learning loss from the pandemic was social and emotional skills. Such as learning to share, take turns, negotiate, & resolve conflicts through play as well as self-regulation & impulse control. Students need unstructured play, recess, & physical activity more than ever.
Confusion reigned @Southportpkrun when todayโs Run Director announced that finish tokens would be handed out randomly and *not* in finish order so every participant had a chance of coming 1st in their age group or even being 1st finisher ๐ณ
