This architectural style's defenders can't avoid the fact that it *always* registers, at the symbolic and psychological level, as "hostile" -- not just now, but throughout the entire history of the style. For instance it's been used as a stage-setting for "bleak antihumanist sterile future" throughout the history of the Sci Fi film genre, from the 1960s through the present. This doesn't change. Even during the supposed "revival" of Brutalism during the social media age, there isn't a new Sci Fi where a futuristic Brutalist setting is supposed to convey something positive within the symbolic and psycholigcal landscape of the storytelling.
Let’s keep the momentum up on the SHUSH Act and the Hearing Protection Act.
Keep the pressure up on the @WaysandMeansGOP and keep the pressure up on your Congressman. This is a lot of movement gutting parts of the NFA.
This is our shot, folks. Push.
