1. A big win against illegal wildlife trade! Courts have ruled that anyone caught illegally with the most threatened protected wildlife be fined a minimum of RM150,000 PER PART of that wildlife, according to the Wildlife Conservation Act 2010 (the “Act”). 🧵

Over 1,000 wildlife parts including bear, tiger and leopard were seized from 4 people last year, not far from Malaysia’s premier #TamanNegara.

Now, 15 charges have been laid on them.
