TNPSC Positives:

Improved performance builds public confidence in zero corruption
Recent exam grouping is a good move
Abolition of Group 2 interviews is excellent

Negatives:

Lacks tech adoption for speedy results
Frequent Group II syllabus & pattern changes lower aspirant morale

Reforms Needed:

Annual exams
Minimize discrepancies between tentative & final keys (8-10 questions/exam)
Provide final answer keys ASAP

Give carbon copy of OMR test for transparency

Allow candidates to download OMR sheets after final keys are released

Analyze Group 1 & 2 Mains topper scripts (2019-2023) to find success ratio of Tamil vs English medium

Change evaluation criteria for Tamil medium descriptive tests

Simplify process of marking number of questions attempted - many aspirants make mistakes here

For Group II-IIA prelims, remove General Tamil & English papers. Conduct 100 GS questions only. (Mains already has Tamil qualifying paper for drafting skills)

In Group 4 exam, make Tamil qualifying, not scoring. Consider only General Studies for ranking

Reduce Group 1 Mains syllabus - currently too extensive compared to Civil Services & other State PSCs

Create separate team to handle court cases quickly (e.g., Motor Vehicle Inspector, DEO, Road Inspector exams still in court)

These reforms aim to improve TNPSC's efficiency, transparency & fairness. Goal- streamline processes, reduce delays & boost candidate confidence. #TNPSC #ReformIdeas
