One of the things that genuinely makes me happy in my line of work is solving a problem, especially in customer support.
Sometimes I receive calls from organizations that are trying to migrate their emails from cPanel to Google Workspace, but something goes wrong during the setup.
DNS records may be mixed up, an important setting may be missed, or one final step may fail, and with email systems, one small mistake can stop everything from working.
Sometimes it takes us longer than expected to find the exact problem, but once it is solved, the relief is always worth it.
Most online service issues can be handled remotely. We do not always need to visit the premises, we only need a little collaboration, a few tests and clear feedback. But sometimes, when people are frustrated, they feel nothing is being done unless they can physically see you there.
I remember receiving a very angry call from an organization that had not worked the entire day because their email services were supposedly down. I tested everything from my side and it was working perfectly. I asked them to perform a few simple tests, but the response remained the same, “It is not working, come and fix it.”
One person finally said, “Grace, if you were here, we would be working.”
So I went.
The first thing I did was test the email on a phone using mobile data, and it worked perfectly. The actual problem was that the internet cable had accidentally been disconnected by a cleaner, while doing her work, and no one had noticed, including the in-house IT person who had spent the day insisting the problem was from our side!
Well, I left them working, and that was what mattered most.
In another situation, a trusted administrator left an organization with access to all their email credentials.
Before leaving, he had sent me a WhatsApp message asking me to urgently change the password of a crucial email account. I declined because sensitive changes must come from the authorized contact person through the official email.
A few days later, he somehow gained access to the administrator account, changed several passwords, left and switched off his phones. The organization relied heavily on email, so the situation was serious.
What he did not know was that there is always a higher level of administration that can recover access and undo the damage.
Some problems are simple, others keep you working for hours or even nights, but at the end of it all, seeing everything working again and the frustration turning into relief feels so good. That is one of the best parts of customer support.

Building Solutions Starts with Listening.
The LWEGATECH team had a productive engagement with the Busoga Health Forum (BHF) @BusogaHealth team at their headquarters in Jinja as we officially kicked off discussions for the development of the BHF eLearning & Membership Management System.
Our meeting was filled with insightful discussions around BHF's operations, workflows, challenges, and long-term vision.
These conversations are invaluable because they help us design a solution that is practical, user-friendly, and aligned with the organization's goals.
We appreciate the warm welcome from the Busoga Health Forum team and look forward to delivering a platform that will support learning, member engagement, and organizational growth.
Before we write a single line of code, we spend time understanding our client's people, processes, and goals. That's how we build solutions that truly fit the organisation’s needs, not just its technical requirements.

The new month is here.
Do you have your records from last month?
How is your business doing? Are you moving forward, stuck, taking steps back, or you honestly have no idea?
Did all your clients pay you? Are all your bills cleared? Are partial invoices still pending? Have you paid some expenses twice? Do you have leakages you cannot trace? Have you made sales, but somehow everything disappeared into bills? Are you spending more than you are making?
Can you answer all these questions clearly?
Don’t sweat it.
Get a system that helps you answer your business management questions in just a few seconds.
This used to be my problem too. At first, it can be scary looking at small sales, many expenses, unpaid invoices, and pending bills. But you need to face the reality of your business before you can fix it.
Thanks to BORAinvoice, my small business records became easier to manage.
If this sounds like your current situation, it may be time to check out BORAinvoice.

The biggest business expenses aren't always the obvious ones.
Rent.
Salaries.
Utilities.
We budget for those.
But what about:
☕ Coffee
⛽ Fuel
🍔 Lunch
🅿️ Parking
📶 Mobile data
🚕 Small transport costs
Individually they don't look expensive.
Together, they quietly eat your profits and they immediately go for the savings.
I learnt this the hard way.
For years, I'd buy fuel in small amounts whenever I needed it.
It never felt expensive... until I tracked every purchase. The monthly total shocked me.
That's when I realised:
You can't manage what you don't measure.
The same happens in many businesses.
Owners know how much they've sold...
...but can't explain where the money went.
Usually, it's not theft.
It's hundreds of small expenses nobody recorded.
That's exactly why every BORAsuite product includes an Expenses Module to help businesses record, categorize, and track every expense, no matter how small.
As we begin a new month, here's my challenge:
Track every business expense for the next 30 days.
You might discover your biggest leak isn't a big expense...
It's dozens of small ones.

There is something special about telling your story.
As we grow older, we realize that every season of life leaves us with lessons, victories, setbacks, and experiences worth sharing. What may seem ordinary to us today could be the encouragement someone else needs to take their very first step.
Every single day, someone out there is trying to start a business, build a career, overcome a challenge, or simply believe in themselves again. If we can openly share what we've seen, learned, and achieved, we make that journey a little easier for someone else.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to share part of my journey in this podcast. I hope my story encourages someone to keep going, keep learning, and never give up on their dreams.

The Comment That Doesn't Deserve Your Anger
One of the challenges I have seen businesses face on social media is dealing with harsh comments. Sometimes a person simply thinks your prices are too high. Instead of scrolling past, they stop and leave an insult. And if you've ever run a business, you know those comments can feel very personal.
The customer sees a price. You see the time, expertise, experience, support, and commitment behind the service you provide. They compare your price with another business they found online and immediately conclude that you're overcharging. Before you know it, they've called you a thief in the comments section.
The temptation at that moment is to respond emotionally. After all, you know what it took to build that service, earn the knowledge, and deliver value to your clients. But that's usually the worst response you can give. People rarely change their minds because you argued with them online. In fact, everyone else reading the conversation is paying more attention to 'how' you respond than to the insult itself.
A good response educates rather than defends. Instead of firing back, or explaining every challenge you've faced as a business owner, help people understand what they're paying for.
Take web hosting as an example. Two companies may both advertise web hosting. One charges $40 a year while another charges $100. To someone who doesn't pay attention to the details, they appear to be selling exactly the same thing. Yet one package may include daily backups, better security, faster servers, technical support, email hosting, or proactive maintenance, while the other may not. The difference is not always in the name of the service. It is often in the value behind it.
Not everyone who criticizes your business is trying to hurt it. Sometimes people simply don't understand what they're comparing. And sometimes, they don't know what they don't know.
So the next time someone leaves an insulting comment on your page, resist the urge to fight back. Take a deep breath, respond professionally, and remember that your reply is not just for the person who commented. It's for every potential customer quietly reading the conversation.
Your do not comment to win the argument, represent your brand.
And if you find it difficult to separate your emotions from your brand, it may be time to let a professional manage those conversations for you.

Every generation faces a technology that people fear. The people who learn it usually do better than the those who avoid it.
A friend recently sent her daughter to our office for career guidance. The young lady had just completed S.6 and wanted to pursue a career in IT.
Then someone she respected told her not to bother, and the reason was, AI is taking over IT jobs, by he time she graduates, there will be nothing left for her to do.
That one statement almost changed her plans, thankfully, she kept asking questions instead of making a decision out of fear.
Listening to her reminded me that every generation has had something they were told to fear.
There was a time when people feared computers. Then the internet arrived. Then social media. Today, it is Artificial Intelligence.
The pattern never changes, some people spend their time worrying about the new technology. Others spend their time learning how to use it.
The second group usually wins.
Think about it, We moved from handwritten letters to telephones mounted on walls, From those telephones to mobile phones, From button phones to smartphones.
At every stage, there were people convinced the new technology would ruin everything, Yet today, many of us use our phones to run businesses, learn new skills, communicate with clients, manage finances, navigate roads, and stay connected with family.
Technology did not stop progress, It became part of it.
The same applies to AI, the question is not whether AI exists. it's whether you will learn how to use it.
A person who understands AI will always have an advantage over someone doing the same job without it.
Not because AI is replacing them, but because it helps them work faster, learn faster, and solve problems differently.
The funny thing is that many of us have been using AI for years without calling it AI. Google has been helping us find information, recommend content, correct spelling, and answer questions for a very long time, it wasn't a human behind!
The technology is simply becoming more visible and more accessible.
We don't need to run away from technology, we need to learn it, understand it, Use it correctly.
Because the future rarely belongs to the people who fear change, It usually belongs to the people who learn how to work with it.
And if you choose to remain analogue, that's your choice 🤗
One of the Google Workspace features I find incredibly useful is Google Docs.
There're times when you're preparing a proposal, agreement, report, concept note, or any company document that requires input from several people. In the past, you would send different versions back and forth by email, wait for feedback, merge edits, and hope nothing got lost along the way.
With Google Docs, that process becomes much simpler.
Create a new document or upload an existing one to Google Drive, then share it with the people who need to contribute.
Everyone can work on the same document, either at the same time or whenever it is convenient for them.
Changes are saved automatically, comments can be added directly within the document, and version history helps you keep track of edits.
The result is faster collaboration, fewer errors, and less time spent chasing document versions.
If your team is still emailing multiple copies of the same document back and forth, it may be time to explore a better way of working.
Ask me about Google Workspace. 😊

Hello bosses, before you blame your employees for not doing their work properly, have you given them the tools they need? Or are you still an analogue boss? 😄
We're in 2026 boss, Technology has given organizations countless ways to work smarter, faster, and more efficiently.
Why are people still carrying books to the field to collect data for NGO projects when data can be captured using a digital system?
And before you tell me there is no network in the village, that's no longer a valid excuse, there're systems designed specifically for field data collection that work offline and synchronize automatically once internet access is available.
These solutions were built specifically for organizations working in remote communities where connectivity is unreliable and, in some places, where UMEME left very deep roots of power outages. 😄
If your NGO is still collecting data the old way, perhaps it's time to talk to Lwegatech. Whether you need a custom-built solution or an existing platform, there are better options than carrying stacks of paper.
Your billing officer doesn't need to move around with receipt books, invoice books, quotation books, and envelopes full of papers🤦♂️.
No human being is going to remember every invoice, receipt, payment, balance, and customer record off the top of their head. That's exactly why solutions such as BORAinvoice exist.
Instead of searching through files, your team can quickly see quotations, invoices, expenses, receipts, outstanding balances, and customer records from one place.
Now my pharmacy bosses, I have a question. How do you know which medicines are about to expire?
Do you inspect every bottle and box one by one?
How do you know which products are running low before customers start asking for them?
That's where systems like BORApharma become useful. They help track stock levels, monitor expiry dates, and give visibility into what is happening in the pharmacy before it becomes a problem.
And now to my retail shop bosses. 😄
How much did you sell last week?
How much did you spend this week?
Do you still have that item a customer asked about yesterday?
Which products are moving fastest?
If answering these questions requires three phone calls, two notebooks, and a prayer, then perhaps it is time to meet BORApos.
The truth is that many business challenges are not caused by employees, sometimes people are simply expected to perform modern work using old tools.
Give your team the right systems and you may be surprised by how much more they can achieve.

Last night, I nearly slept on an empty stomach because I failed to light a charcoal stove.
After work, i picked my son from school, and headed home to prepare a simple meal before calling it a day.
Halfway through preparing supper, UEDCL decided to test my ability to survive in the city without electricity or gas.
I sat there staring at my half-cooked food, thinking about Plan B. I have a charcoal stove in my small outside kitchen but the problem is that I can only confidently light it using those little sigiri sticks invented by a wise person who clearly understood that some of us would need help one day. Unfortunately, I didn't have any.
I tried using a kavera, like I've seen people do. Instead, I nearly roasted my fingers, swallowed enough smoke to last a week, and achieved absolutely nothing.
I started panicking. My food was halfway cooked, we were tired and I needed fire immediately.
That's when I remembered our village life! in my village, there's always firewood I'm the kitchen, dry banana leaves nearby, and anyone can start a fire without looking like they were negotiating with it.
If I had those village skills, supper would have been ready in minutes.
Instead, I sacrificed an entire A4 book to the cause. I tore out page after page, lit the charcoal stove, and finally won the battle.
The food got ready, we ate. UEDCL did not win
Now I need recommendations for firewood suppliers around Kasangati, anytime UEDCL plays games, I have my quick reliable backup.
Aas a mother of four and a wife of 12 years, we do not sleep hungry in this house, no matter what. 🤣
Happy weekend, everyone. ❤️😄

Does your Business Keep Records??
One of the most important habits a business owner can develop is recording every business transaction.
Every sale matters. Every expense matters.
The biggest sale of the month should be recorded. The smallest sale should be recorded too.
That bottle of water bought for the office, transport costs, internet subscriptions, a flyer designed for marketing, and every other business expense should be captured somewhere.
You started your businesses with good intentions, planed to keep records, but as operations became busy, transactions left unrecorded!
A few sales are remembered, some expenses are forgotten, and before long, nobody is completely sure where the business stands.
The challenge with poor record keeping is that the consequences are rarely immediate.
A customer asks for a copy of a receipt issued three months ago.
A supplier wants to reconcile payments.
An accountant asks for expense records.
A HOO or partner wants to know whether the business made a profit last month.
Suddenly, information that seemed unimportant at the time becomes critical.
Good business decisions depend on good information, and good information comes from proper records.
When sales, expenses, quotations, invoices, and customer payments are consistently recorded, it becomes much easier to understand the health of the business. You can quickly see what is coming in, what is going out, who still owes you money, and how your business is performing over a given period.
This is why your business needs to move away from notebooks, loose papers, and memory, and adopting systems that help them keep records in a more organized way.
Tools such as BORAinvoice help businesses capture sales, expenses, quotations, invoices, receipts, and customer payments in one place.
Track outstanding balances and partial payments, making it easier to follow up on what is still due without relying on memory.
The goal is not simply to record transactions.
The goal is to have reliable information whenever your business needs it.
Because when records are clear, decisions become easier.

Are you stepping away from work for a few days, a week, or even a month? One thing that is often forgotten is email.
While you're away, clients, colleagues, suppliers, and potential customers may continue sending messages. Without a response, they are left wondering whether their email was received, whether you are available, or whether they should follow up elsewhere.
Google Workspace includes a feature called Vacation Responder in Gmail. It automatically sends a reply to people who email you, letting them know that you are currently away, when you expect to return, and who they can contact if their matter is urgent.
The best part is that it does not reject, bounce, or delete emails. Every message still arrives safely in your inbox, ready for you when you return. The sender simply receives a courteous response so they know what to expect.
A simple message such as, "Thank you for your email. I am currently away from the office and will return on 20th June. For urgent matters, please contact [email protected]," can make a big difference to the experience of those trying to reach you.
Professional communication is not only about responding quickly. It is also about keeping people informed.
This Google Workspace Vacation Responder, is a simple tool that helps you remain professional even when you are away from your desk.
