@awakecoding @el_nawser @jeremymoskowitz The feature works at the user level and therefore to me it makes sense that the policy also applies at the user level. If you don't want anyone in your enterprise running recall... apply the disable policy to all users.

What would the device wide setting accomlish beyond that?

WinFS and Recall solve complimentary but different problems for the user. I agree the ideal system would combine attributes of both.
