Do you think celebrities would possess unique microbiome strains to make cheese? Food for thought. Warning: some may find body cheese gross.

I attended the Wonder Women events every year during grad school and found them tremendously helpful. The environment was welcoming, the mentors were all approachable and super easy to talk to. I now recommend this event for all my undergrads! Thanks @SCWIST!

@Old_dusty_ Yes, I can see how if students are not properly primed, they can find abstract questions difficult. If I was the student, I’d probably get stressed out about it since I wouldn’t be able to know whether I got the answer right or wrong.
@jen_doering I’m incredibly thankful for @MicroWavesSci @Napaaqtuk @Old_dusty_ @TCNoel @TLJKelly who are amazing and thoughtful. They’ve taught me that scientific rigor can go hand-in-hand with kindness and authenticity. :) Thank you all.
@MicroWavesSci@RachaelEBee @Napaaqtuk I go through a complicated method of syncing through my Google calendar which then creates an event on my Outlook through Zapier that shows I’m busy. Actually I don’t know if I can recreate it now! But that may work. ._.
A helpful way to automatically book student appointments - use @Calendly. To cut down on back and forth emails for scheduling office hours, I sync my calendar with @Calendly and students can automatically schedule a time in a free slot. Works like a charm!
Crazy engagement! In my syllabus specification requirements, I asked for intelligent, coherent comments. Many students asked questions during class and my Teams chat is blowing up. What a delightful problem to have. :)
@markowenmartin@profvrr I happened to be listening to the podcast right after others in my department were trying to convince me that first year students could not handle inquiry-based learning. Your comments inspired me to keep fighting for it.
@Old_dusty_@MicroWavesSci Unfortunately :( Maybe some might enjoy them. Sometimes I still catch myself nattering “Email… here I go again with the email…” in Strong Bad’s voice.
