Dear Mr Javed Akhtar. Alhamdulillah. The quote is from Maulana Azad's Calcutta Speech. The speech was published in Khutbat-e-Azad. Here is the link: https://t.co/yXkvYTTW1j
The Maulana is exhorting the Indian Muslims to unite with Muslims around the world and save the Caliphate. He begins by stating that all relationships in the world can break down, father can turn against son, brother against brother, mother can shun her child but the relationship of a Muslim with a Muslim can never be severed.
The Maulana then continues: if even a grain of the soul of Islam is still alive in its followers, then if a thorn enters the foot of a Turk on the field of battle, I swear by Allah that no Muslim of Hindustan is a Muslim until he feels that prick in his own heart. For the Millat of Islam is one body, and Muslims, wherever they are, are its limbs. If a finger of the hand is cut, the rest of the body cannot remain at peace until it has felt the blow. This is not rhetoric. It is the plain meaning of the well-known hadith which Imam Ahmad related: the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said that the likeness of the believers in their mutual love, mercy and compassion is that of one body: when one limb complains, the whole body responds with sleeplessness and fever. And there is the other hadith, related by Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari: The believer to the believer is like a building; each part supports the other. This is the first and last distinguishing mark of the people of Islam, to which the Qur’an itself has pointed.
Then, to reinforce Muslim unity, Maulana Azad provides his commentary after quoting the Quranic verse 48: 29.
The Messenger of Allah and those with him are severe against the Kafirs, merciful among themselves.
Whatever hardness they have is for falsehood and unbelief; whatever love and tenderness they have is for truth, sincerity, Islam and Tawhid. So be extremely hard against disbelievers but extremely sympathetic and kind among ourselves; take heed, then, and do not pass over this as if you had not heard it.
P.S. This is the second time I am enlightening you on your heroes and their lifelong sociopolitical stances. The first time was when you refused to believe that books were banned, editors sacked, films blocked, and Majrooh jailed, under Nehru's rule. Please don't ask me about Gandhi next - the Mahatma, not Rahul, though both are probably your heroes. Cheers, WDTP
There’s just ONE tiny problem with Subhash Garg’s 2.6% growth claim that Congress is parroting everywhere.
That tiny inconvenience is called the real world. 💀
Apparently, an economy “growing at just 2.6%” also managed:
• Manufacturing: +9.2%
• Investment: +11.9%
• Exports: +12%
• Capital goods: +15.2%
• Commercial vehicles: +18.3%
• Cement: +8.9%
• Steel consumption: +8.3%
So either every major indicator of economic activity collectively decided to conspire against Mr Garg and Congress…
…or maybe, just maybe, the 2.6% calculation is the problem. 💀
Thread Contd.....
This is shocking indeed that a former FS would confuse such basics.
Since the GDP rebasing reduced June 2025 GDP to 80T from 86T INR or so, the June 2026 has been calculated off former not latter.
Without the rebasing, GDP for June 2026 in INR T would have been much higher as well.
In fact had the GDP rebasing led to a higher GDP, as often happens and was widely expected, the same cynics would have complained how did you suddenly increase the GDP for a past quarter.
But since it was honestly reduced - they are again complaining and misleading.
For decades, China set the pace, while India consistently trailed.
That equation has changed.
India has outpaced China in 6 of the last 10 years, including every year since 2021.
What was once the exception is now becoming the norm.
India is increasingly pulling ahead in the growth race.
Respected .@narendramodi Ji, why is it not highlighted how U & .@AmitShah Ji DISMANTLED Khalist@ni Network after rollback of Farm Bills? U know art of communication so well. When will BJP learn it?
Raita Wingers portrayed U as weak PM when U rolled back Farm Bills. It's a fact that Khalist@ni elements wanted to misuse Alleged Farmers Protests to burn Punjab like 1984 Genocide. U took a step back to save Punjab & Bharat, U were mocked by Ur own supporters & Raita Wingers, But U chose to maintain silence & keep doing the work of CLEAN-UP to eradicate this problem. People saw U taking one step back, but didn't see U taking Giant Leaps & Tearing Down Anti-national Khalist@ni Elements after that.
Aaj mai batata hu.
After the 2020–21 farmers' protests ended, Modi-Shah Ji took several actions against separatist elements, extremist financing, and security threats linked to Khalistani groups:
👉Ban on Sikhs for Justice (SFJ): The Centre continued enforcing the ban on the Khalist@n-supporting organization SFJ under the UAPA and expanded action against its activities and online propaganda. Many members in Bharat arrested & still languishing in jails.
👉NIA crackdown: The National Investigation Agency conducted multiple raids across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and other states against alleged Khalist@n-linked terror modules, financiers, gangsters and overground workers. Several arrests followed under UAPA. Entire network was dismantled.
👉Action against gangster-terr0r nexus: Central agencies investigated and prosecuted alleged links between Khalist@ni groups and gangsters such as those associated with cross-border terr0r financing, extortion and targeted killings.
👉Crackdown on Amritpal Singh (2023): Security agencies launched a major operation against supporters of Amritpal Singh. Hundreds of preventive detentions were made, internet services were temporarily suspended in parts of Punjab, and Amritpal was arrested under the National Security Act (NSA). Still rotting in Jail.
👉Unleashed 'Unknown Men' on Khalist@ni Terr0ri$ts abroad, especially in Pakistan, Canada & Australia.
👉Smartly used rivalry between different Drug Gangs to get Khalist@ni Elements in other gangs eliminated on foreign soil as well as in Bharat. One 'Sabarmati ka Sant' played a big role in this operation. 'Bhijaan' ko aaj bhi loose motions hote hai when he hears that name.
👉Property and financial investigations: The NIA and Enforcement Directorate investigated alleged terr0r funding to Farmers Protests, attached assets in some cases, and filed chargesheets against individuals accused of financing Khalist@ni activities. Till date, those assets with bank accounts stay freezed.
Sher Ek Kadam Peeche Leta Hai Char Chhalang Marne ke Liye!
I'm not saying this because I love Modi-Shah Ji, but because I have seen this happening after rollback of Farm Laws.
And that's why I know what's coming up next for Cockroaches & their Political Masters when Modi Sarkar again took one step back today with Resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.
Naysayers may not agree but I will be having last laugh within just 1 yr. Save it.

In a remarkable archaeological discovery, a nearly 2,000-year-old gold ring bearing a Brahmi inscription was unearthed at the Phetchaburi archaeological site in Thailand.
The inscription has been read as “Pusarahita” in Prakrit, meaning “protected by the Pushya Nakshatra.” It was most likely the personal name of the individual who wore the ring.
This remarkable find adds to the growing body of archaeological evidence demonstrating the deep cultural, commercial, and civilisational connections between Bharat and the Suvarnabhumi region during the early historic period.
When the Portuguese excesses were getting intolerable, Ramaraya launched two expeditions at the same time. While he marched on Mylapore in person, his nephew Rama Raja Vitthala advanced on Goa. Goa put some resistance but it folded in no time and on the other hand, Mylapore, clueless what to do, ransomed itself. The defeat was that devastating for the Portuguese, the Governor General of Goa was sacked and recalled.
At a later date, in fact, this unruly attitude forced Damerla Ayyappa to set up the village of Chennapatnam between Dutch Pulicat and Portuguese Mylapore daring them attack it and thereby forcibly imposing peace on Madras coast.

Just a decade ago, white men used to say Haldi is useless and even bad for health and educated brown sepoys agreed with white men.
Then white men did some "research" and said "Curcumin" found in turmeric is a potent antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties.
After that educated brown sepoys started seeing Turmeric as a superfood.
It is another matter that our Hindus have been using Haldi in their food for centuries.
All these people who are crying in comments and quotes about IIT Roorkee doing research on Gau Mutra will keep a bottle of it in their fridge after a decade.
Unlike the much exaggerated Sati, the Chinese Xunjie or Widow Suicide system killed lakhs of women.
Widows were forced to starve themselves to death or poisoned so they didn't have sex after the husband's death. The Chinese society built thousands of arches (called Paifamg) to glorify the practice.
But literally nobody even knows about it today because information & media are frauds. Hence we must share it.
Give the ans of two questions
>Can person from rural area who belongs to shang community enter in big city's?
> Can their children's get education in city's school?
1/ My three-volume history places the Indian subcontinent at the centre of world civilisation. On the question of continuity, it is the most impressive case on earth, and the one Western scholarship has most consistently underestimated.
2/ At Bhimbetka's 30,000-year-old paintings, a dancing deity with bangles and trident immediately recalls the dancing Shiva of today, as Michael Wood observed, and as I cite in my own work. A 14,000-year-old yoni stone near Allahabad was recognised on sight by local villagers. This demonstrates continuity. Therefore the seal is a middle chapter in the whole story.
3/ The argument that Indian sacred symbols require a Elamite or steppe source was constructed in the 19th century by Max Muller, who never visited India. He later called his 1,500 BC date for the Rig Veda 'merely hypothetical.' Subsequent historians copied the original date and ignored the retraction. Voltaire said 'everything has come to us from the banks of the Ganges.' He was wrong about most things but right about this.
